Hey guys,
If you want to take a look at the real aussie stuff, visit http://www.defence.gov.au and click on the 'Latest Images' button on the far left.

There's a heap of current and previous photos of the Australian Defence Force in action...

plus i'll chuck in a photo of some very hardcore-looking aus gear.
Cheers...

DPCU was common around the mid-90s iirc. Don't know about early 90s though.

the parachute battalion is (currently) 3 RAR...
Early 90's we were wearing DPCU already, albeit a slightly different version...which is pretty much obsolete now so you won't have much chance
Your best bet to emulate early 90's would be a fairly faded set of DPCUs, as well as Khaki combat boots (affectionately called "poo" boots because of their unique colour) - they are essentially the standard GP boots of the Vietnam era, but they are made with a light khaki leather.

Thanks guys.
Took me heaps of money and even more trouble with my girl :smack: but it was worth it.
Unfortunatly there's no end at sight at the moment. Heaps of stuff is on its way to my place to be added to my collection and to be sold .
If you're interested just pm me.

I assume this should be coupled with the standard auscam webbing or SA 83 rig? Is The M16/203 appropriate?

For the 90's, we were already using the F-88 Austeyr, but an M16A2/M203 group would be okay...not standard issue, but it was available. The SA 83 wasn't often seen, more likely was the australian army general webbing rig, based mainly on a M.O.L.L.E-like setup (a webbing belt with auscam bumbag, water bottles and large minimi/small steyr pouches).
