I had one leak. Tore it down and the "square" o-ring had a bump in it. Greased it real good and put it back together and now it leaks a little. The next day opened my gear bag up and the other shell was cracked on half. At least it was the feeding lip this time... ~Doh~

If you rack the bolt back and then put the mag in it should prevent that resistance issue which breaks the mag lip. At least i think so. Can one of you try using HFC 134a in the gun? I want to see if it works.

Is this compatible with replica PSO's and PBS-4s?
Looking to re-create my favourite AA-2

Cosmetics & reliability update
So, after 5 or so months of getting parts together, tinkering and shooting the SRC AKS74U, I figured it was time for an update. First things first, as of today NO company makes aftermarket parts or upgrades for this gun, and the only manufacturer update that I know of is the supposed strengthened magazine shell because of complaints of breakages when inserting the magazine. I haven't yet had this problem, or ordered one of the new mags/shells.
After at least 2000 BB's, it still shoots hard, fast and straight. I bubba'd the gamy hopup design bu putting some folded card to stop the adjustment slide to slide back with the bolt, and pinched in the pin on the slide to tighten it up. I still haven't had a single misfeed or jam, and the bolt stop function has worked every single time, which is all very impressive. Aftermarket external parts are a bit of a headache though. I had to dremel, cut or drill every part that I added to make them fit, although for the most part, it was the easiest kind of work: no lathes or machine shops visits necessary. If you can work a knife, you can put stuff on. The only thing I had to completely abandon was the ebairsoft AKS74U Samson-style RIS. I don't know if they have me a shitty model with 2 left attachments or what, but it was looking more and more like I'd need some serious expertise to get what I wanted out of it, so I ditched it. As of right now, it's sporting: - Element AK SAW grip - LCT plastic handguard set - 2x Magpul PTS 2.5" rails - modified Magpul PTS 2.5" rail on top of real sight base - modified Magpul PTS ACS QD Sling Mount - G&P QD sling swivel This is the nicest-looking AKS74U out there, as far as I'm concerned. And with the kit on it, it makes for a great PMC/Eastern Bloc SF weapon. I'm definitely proudest of the way the rear sling swivel turned out. Anyone who's used an AK-style airsoft gun knows they're better off for southpaws, and it bugged me that the single sling option had the gun against me, or facing for my reaction hand. Traditional 2 points aren't much better as they have to thread above, over or through the stock, so this was really the most important mod, and it turns out the ACS QD point fits in almost flush, and the stock only needs a shave of 1-2mm at most to get it right in position with the old sling swivel. Anyway, time to put my money where my mouth is and show pics :P Simply beautiful... I'm more showing off my great paracord skills more than anything else :P Close up of the QD sling swivel Now without the actual swivel Other side of the sling swivel The front rails The top rail for small optics, was just cut down and then the top receiver was tapped for the appropriate screws More of the top Motherf*ckin' beautiful, all gussied up for a night on the town Well that's about it, if you have any questions just ask here or PM me.

OK, so sorry to necro this but I got my hands on one of these babies the other day and am just looking for info and posting my observations.
Can anyone who also owns one confirm that the inner barrel is a modified AEG barrel? Basically from what I can tell it appears to be an AEG barrel with a slit cut for the hop up rubber to seat itself into (much like a VSR barrel?). Also can anyone with a VSR rubber confirm that the SRC rubber is a modified VSR one except with the protruding nub that runs half way down cut off? I'd like to know if I can use a Firefly or NineBall rubber in it. Finally that metal "C-clip" on the barrel.... I took it off and can't get it back on again, does it actually have any function? I know that it is seated right underneath the plastic c clip on the hop up but I can't tell if it contacts it and is a necessary part or if it's a redundant part.

Nope not an AEG barrel at all, it looks like one but the grooves to lock it in the hop up block are not in the same place as an AEG (like all WE GBBRs).

I understand the thing about the grooves missing for it locking into place but comparing the barrel against an AEG barrel it appears as if the only change is that there is that groove for the bucking to slip into and another groove for a metal "C-clip".
The closest barrel that I can compare it against is this Falcon 6.03 but I know it's not the same: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/upgrade-p...338-500mm.html It appears as if the barrel is a hybrid cross between a VSR or other GBB barrel and an AEG barrel.... I'll see if I can modify it and come up with some favourable results. Basically the idea is to dremel those grooves in. Remember, it's easier to remove material than to replace it so hopefully this works out. I'll do it slowly and if it works I'll post up pics showing people how to do it.
