It's more meant to be used against engine blocks and walls than people. I don't imagine it will ever be used against a person - no need when lots of other rounds will do.

Unless that person pulls a Robert Goulet.

Your right ! This bullet is specifictly designed to take down material.

But !

Canadien sniper have acutally realise the potential of this weapon (distance) and have actually take down human target at distances up to (maby farther)2000 m.

A distance a 7.62 can only dream of !

Anything ever come from the RCMP multicam ordeal. I looked into it on my end, issued equipment is to be used at all times. If that praticular RCMP ERT unit used multicam holsters, then they were violating policy and standard loadout.

I agree with the choice though as it would be more functional and applicable for its use, but not following rules. Thus, not Standard loadout.

We've dealt with Calgary, Ottawa, Red Deer and Edmonton ERTs at work.

Depends on the detail they're working. I've had the guys rock in wearing partial door kicking kit, which I think they were using for close personal protection detail. They all have Safariland 6004 holster, and guessing from the shape of the holster, they're equipped with the older P-series Surefire weaponlights on their 5946s, usually with a large fixed blade bolted or strapped to it. They wear Ottawa-issued black Nomex. These look alot like Canadian police tac pants - button pocket closures, buttoned belt loops, unbellowed cargo pockets. The vest I've seen them wearing were pretty plain, straight forward MOLLE plate carriers without any pouches, simply velcro ID panels stating simply "POLICE". Didn't recognize them, but they didn't look like PPI. Most of the usual suspects are on the belt: Mk 3 sized OC, expandable baton (I believe RCMP still use the ASP), magazines, a pair or two of cuffs, but for the most part, that's it for this particular duty.

We've been selling them 5.11 long sleeve B-class uniform shirts and 5.11 Tac Lite Pro pants for court appearances and CPP duty, not door kicking.

One thing of note about the RCMP ERT members if you're doing an impression: The ERT guys are some of the most humble, polite and down to earth guys on the job I have ever met. Considering how skilled and honed these guys are, that tells you something.

As for wearing MultiCam, a few guys might have private purchased some, and wore them for a training course for S&Gs, but I doubt they'd use it operationally. Ottawa would get cranky if members stepped too far off the line from issued gear. That being said, I've seen Calgary Tac members wearing 6-color deserts with subdued flashes (I think it was around '95-'96?) so I guess it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I saw a few other clips from the videos which showed Magpul stocks, PMags, and EOtechs. Actually, everyone I saw with an Armalite had an EOtech.

When I bought my Tru Spec MARPAT in a group order about a year ago, we were told that our order was delayed because of an RCMP order taking priority. It could be my eyes, but are a couple guys in that picture also wearing MARPAT? Specifically, the gentlemen at the far right, and 4th from the right . Maybe the guy leading the parade as well, but his are faded to hell like my last set of Tru Spec MARPAT did....
