LCBO has them, its called a BYOID, and the Ontario Gov't has been talking about issuing a non-denominational ID card for those without a Drivers License.

BC has an ID similar it's called BCID. It's issued by ICBC. It looks totally different than the BCDL (background of the ocean vs background of the parliament building in Victoria, I actually don't know what it is as I've never applied/received a BCID before) so you can't mistake it but it's legitimate ID issued by a provincial body.
