as for those other two yes. I have no experience with those two brands of those two parts but upgrading those parts will be good. |

Oops, forgot we're dealing with a KSC Glock. Not sure what's available for Glocks.

I question if such a small barrel can allow the BB to gain enough momentum, the silencer + longer inner barrel seems the only way to hit those numbers.
Heavy weight BBs will also add to the overall power. |

i certainly agree that the shorter barrel will be a hindrance, however i would like to go as far as i can without the long barrel/silencer setup.
this person seems to have done amazing things with a G19, which is not that much longer than a G26.... i just dont know where the parts came from, nor do i really know which ones i need, that is why i am asking the pro's (all of you ) http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=25782 |

G26 is probably the worst choice for a powerful pistol because it has such a short barrel. Why not choose one with a longer barrel so you don't have to add a longer inner barrel and silencer?

you are absolutely right, but i am one of those guys that likes a challenge. hell, i have a 1/36th scale RC car that breaks 50mph, i have a ~ 17 year old VW with 556 hp, etc. i like to push the limits of possibilities, try new things, and take on (sometimes stupid) challenges.
while i know 400 FPS is likely impossible with the gun, let alone the lack of silencer and longer barrel, i still want to try. i would like to hit that point, and say "well, she is maxxed out, and i have one of the fastest/strongest/best made :insert toy here:'s out there" does that even make sense? lol. i mean, has anyone really taken a KSC G26 to that point yet? in all of my searching, i haven't found anyone dumb enough to try |

honestly, i think its impossible even if you drop in all the after-market parts. i think you might have to custom make parts. the highest after-market upgrade i know of is the Airsoft Surgeon 380fps kit for the KSC MK23. If you have that, a tightbore, teflon mod, high-flow valve, and air-seal hop-up chamber, TOP gas and a REALLY warm day, then you MIGHT, and i stress this point, be able to hit 400fps with that.
dont get me wrong. if you can do it, than that is awesome, and you must post pics of the gun, crono results, and the list of upgrades you used. good luck |

Don, thanks for the ideas!!! i know i am nuts, but i like the challenge
i am gonna look up that 380 kit you speak of, and see if it will mesh with the G26. |

lol, yeah, i just found that.
it appears Clarence Lai is the man at making guns, and has a g26 he sells for 325, but from the looks of it, it is the same basic "mods" i will have. so at this point, i need the rocket valve, hammer spring, and inner barrel to match the actual components CL uses. from there, i will use the teflon tape trick, and get red gas (i already have green though) how heavy of a pellet can i go? i am currently running .23g's in everything i have or have had. any suggestions on that (and where to get them?) |

Sky's the limit for weight
|
May 14th, 2009, 14:04 | #30 |
are there suggestions for weight? like, a .43 is better than a .89 etc? also, i was under the impression that the heavier bb's would slow things down, but you guys feel it will speed things up?
thanks again for all of your help!! the gun is stuck in customs (has been for 2 days :worried) but i ordered the 6.01 PDI inner barrel and airsoft surgeon floating valve. next is a hammer spring if i can find one in stock somewhere. |
