hmmm

At his age he will need his Mom and Dad to buy any Airsoft gun he wishes to start with.

But I would stay away from the Crosman, I always hear bad things about them.

Just remember to use proper safety when playing.
-Always where goggles.
-Please use a barrel plug or condom when walking in the safe zone.
-Never have a mag loaded and in the gun when not is use.
-Always store in proper cases when transporting from place to place
-Do not run around your back yard shooting animals and what not.
-Do not take it out in a public place.

Best of luck in your new adventure.

I am not trying to complain or anything but

I find it kind of weird that you have to be at least 16 at the minimum to play.

I race motorcycles going over 200 kph and I was racing since I was 4 years old.

But I guess, you shouldn't really trust an 8yr old with a Airsoft that could make you lose and eye, and very immature kids.

It's because Airsoft is already in a bad place with the law, and we don't need some 14 year-olds who don't think and start shooting strangers. Plus, if that happens, guess who pays for that. Your parents and the airsoft community, because your not old enough to take responsibility for your actions.

NOT that we are saying you are like this. We just aren't taking that risk.

Yes, sorry I should have mentioned that. We don't stereo-type new comers, but our point is constantly proved.

I have never seen a community protect the sport so feriously. I like it.

But what was said about paintball was a good tip for you man. I started in paintball... go buy your self a nice Electric gun for speed ball or bushball. if you really want to practice up for Airsoft get a tippmann of sorts and go play some bushball. That way most of your gear/skill can transfer over to airsoft.

When you ready to buy your gun you can sell your Marker and get most of your money back, hell even alot of people will trade that want to go from one sport to the other. just please... don't buy a spyder, it won't hold its value.

Well that is the rule that we not only self-impose, but in some provinces like Ontario, its the law one cannot own an airsoft gun unless 18 or older. You can use one, but only if your parents bought it for you and would be used ONLY under their supervision.

Be patient, as you will find that any day now you will be able to start buying guns and playing in games with people here. Like has been said, use this time as an opportunity to educate yourself in the various aspects of airsoft, such as learning about the guns, the manufacturers, whos good/bad/etc... , how games are organized, which kit to look into buying, tactics and physical movements, and when you do start playing you won't be a typical noob anymore and will have the respect of alot of seasoned players if you come to your first game and already know about as much as people that have been playing about a year.

All good things come to those who wait.
