The mother will have full responsibility of the childs action, and use of the airsoft gun.

Then when there is an incident the parent is like "why isn't there a ban on these horrible things?"

So like:

"Oh my goodness, I didn't know these toys could do so much damage, I really had no idea, they should have a warning on the package like they do on the cigarette packs" - when little Jimmy shoots little Tommy's eye out

well, this is why they label speed on them, it get common sense that any object move in 300+FPS do lot of damage even if it is just .12 gram ball.

All G&G boxes I've seen are appropriately labeled.

You can't legislate against irresponsible parents, no more than you can legislate against mental defects. Short of making sure no one can have the device in question, anyways.

yes they are bringing them in, i know a couple of the employees there, luckily, the price will be higher than what most kids can afford, as well as higher than most parents are going to want to spend. but i agree that this will most likely do nothing but hurt the sport at least here in Manitoba, if not everywhere.... i have noticed a steady increase of bitchy soccer moms and it is a pain in my ass.

remember back when kids did stupid stuff than the parents were just like, ahhh boys will be boys... man i did some stupid shit as a kid and got away with alot of it to. i feel truly sorry for this generation of kids, they cant do anything with out facing some bitchy friends mom

Kids have always been retarded. By definition, being a kid meaning having less-than-fully-developed mental faculties. The difference between past and present is that kids have more things to do stupid things with, and we hear about the stupid stuff a lot more.

well thank you for that awesome definition, but what exactly is your point?

how does this make cabela's making premium airsoft available to kids/their parents any more acceptable?

My point is that you're blowing things out of proportion when you suggest that kids today are more retarded than before.

You're awfully judgmental of kids acquiring devices they're legally allowed to acquire (caveat: Ontario), for someone who has devices he's not legally allowed to acquire.

You know that jerking sensation you're experiencing in your knees right now? That's the same sensation that produced the part of society that spends more time in fear of statistics instead of raising their kids properly.

I know I am responsible for my own actions, which is why I know not to play around in public with my guns etc., most kids don't know not to do this, which is why they shouldn't have them, it's as simple as that.

We as a community have an 18+ policy, it is there for a reason, personally I think age verifiers should also base it on maturity as well as age.

and yes I am awfully judgemental, I've earned the right to be, by being over 18 years old!

I just wondering, if it not okay for cabela's to sell airsoft and it is okay for someone else, say a ASC retailer. What is the difference between the two, an ASC retailer can sell to anyone they want, over or under 18 and so can cabela's?

As long as the retailers stay to the rules of selling airsoft to 18+ there is no real differnece to the two.
