like do you ever wonder why you need a set of goggles that can stop a bullet at point blank range to stop a little plastic bb?
Yes maybe, But your eyes are priceless. Always aim higher for security on this side. You don't want to take a chance with 20$ goggles and loose an eye...

I'm not sure but Motocross goggles are not rated the same as Airsoft/Military ones.
Motocross goggles are most likely for dust and small thing that might fly away.

Then stop asking us for advice and go somewhere else. Im sure theres a dollar store forum out there somewhere you can go worm your way into.

Those poor quality glasses that come with airsoft guns maybe able to stop a few 400+ fps shots, but how many can it take? Would you like to be wearing them when they finally shatter? Probly not. Personally I would rather have something that was definate rather than save a few dollars and take risks.

Hmmm red in a green and brown enviroment.... lets think this through. And Moto cross goggles arnt rated for ballistics at all either. Frankly i wear paint ball approved goggles because even though bbs slow down at range, were not always at range. People get snuck up on in the bush and in a CQC situation you may be engaged at 10ft ranges if you enter a room.

Dont lose an eye over being a cheap twat, buck up and spend the extra $30.

im gonna do a search specifically for paintball goggles tomorrow and see what kinda results i get.
the goggles that are in my paintball mask has a pretty tough lense in it

sure would be nice if i could actually go to a store for this stuff and try things on. i know its not hard to find good goggles. the part im having trouble with is finding a pair that fits over my glasses

dude don't cheap out on goggles your eyes are priceless. ask drache what happens when goggles pop off during a firefight from 50 ft away i took a chip outta his orbital bone .now imagine what that woulda done to his eye . i was only shooting about 350 fps at that time now imagine what that would feel like with some of the 420 guns or heaven forbid a shot from some of the sniper rifles.

Have you even bothered to check the link I gave you?
Again those ESS are ballistic rated/tested, can be used over prescription glasses AND, most importantly to you, FIT YOUR 20 bucks or so budget. Actually you can even get them for as low as 17 bucks SHIPPED if you go for the one being auctioned.

Do you want something even cheaper than that?
Then maybe you should better check your local dollar store for those:

After suffering a detached left retina last year (not airsoft related) and going through the scariest surgery ever, I am more than happy to dish out $400+ for all my buddies to have proper eyewear...(yes I am in the process of financing my own team), got two pairs of X-800's, one pair of Oakley Tactical goggles and I am waiting on my pair of Wiley X Nerve Goggles.

I got a couple of those Masks that came with uber cheap goggles, after reading that someone pierced a pair in testing them, the answer was obvious, you get what you pay for....I had Illusion overnight me a pair of $150 Oakley Tactical Goggles....next day at the game, my buddy (who was wearing the Oakley's) got shot square in the eye....twice, if he was wearing the $5 pair that came with the mask, things would have ended badly that day....

I thank my lucky stars I called that one before it happened.

You only have two eyes and they don't grow back.

From your own admission, your now illusion's bitch.
Thats almost as scary as eye surgery...

In all serious tho, ive paid about 300$ on my goggles
ESS NightVision Profiles in OD with OD Speedsleeve
ESS Wired Prescription Frame Insert
Anti Fog, Anti Glare Prescription Lenses
Cadpat Goggle Cover

Cant be too safe with your eyes. Those of you who cheap out on proper protection have seriousiously failed at setting your priorities. Ill admit, some days i dont wear full seal goggles (Only on private fields where they are allowed) and only on heavy humidity days. But the CF Sawflys contour nicely to my face and they are rated to stop .22s and fragmentation from grenades. Dusti, the least you can do is spend 30 bucks and get yourself some JTs. If your too cheap to buy 30$ JT Paintball goggles, get out of this sport. You wont be able to afford it.

Yeah those were ballistic rated shooting glasses but they didn't have strap. The pictures are supposedly still on ASK somewhere maybe I should dig them up lol.

heh i checked out my brothers paintball mask and its made by jt. it kinda looks like a dumb sliver master chief helmet.

im just gonna have to re-think this and make a decision eventually. like i didnt even bother looking at ehobbys goggles til last night cuz i figured theirs would be expensive but theirs are cheaper than whats on ebay and then also i was thinking that well most everybody that games with us has spring pistols and rifles and not the kind of powerful aegs that we have. theyd be lucky to be packing 350fps
