I've got a pair of Hatch Reactor full finger gloves for indoors. They are very, very stiff and I can pretty much take direct knuckle/finger shots without pain. I can feel them...they just don't hurt. Downside is that they are really stiff and take some breaking in.
And a pair of Hatch Fligh gloves for outdoors. These only offer the mildest protection from shots...more so from thorns/junk/bugs. Great dexterity (i.e. I can fiddle with my radio and use a lighter without taking the gloves off) and trigger feel. It's not that I'm a Hatch fan....it's just that Rnicholls down the street carries them and I just stop in when I need a pair. |

oh man yea. the thumb is an awful awful place to get shot in
ive been using dirtbike gloves and i like them. theyre tight and snug fitting with some stretch and they have grip layers in the palm and thick rubber plates on the back of the hand and fingers but they dont make it hard to move your fingers and those gloves that were posted with the knuckle guards sticking out. i think ive seen something similar to those at walmart back where the motorcycle helmets are

I had the shorter Wiley's gloves and they ripped after about 5 games with them. I didn't got them stuck on anything it's just the seam at the fingertip on 2 fingers on each side that fell apart.
I was pretty disappointed considering they costed me a little over 100$ with shipping. I ended up getting the Mechanix M-Pact in Coyote tan and I had no trouble at all with those and for less than 50$ shipped you can't go wrong.

You may also want to look into "Mechanix" gloves. They have lots of protection for knuckles.
Some paintball gloves are good too. |

Contractor gloves... lots of styles with different levels of protection.
Also Lowes and HD had a nice selection.. you can get a top end contractor glove with many of the features of "tactical" gloves ( except fire retardant ) for about 20% less

yes Brian...good call.... I was to reccomend them too. I also find Rocky has good line, they are not expensive and have a good grip in palm. I also check out princess auto for mechanic stylr gloves. I think Brian is correct thou you can a big bucket of coin when you go that route. I got a good pair last time (black) at PA for about 9 bucks.

Apparently alot of guys overseas are using the Mechanix gloves, and loving them... I don't really like them much myself, but they're readily available, and don't need military I.D for purchase....
I highly recomend the oakleys, though.. |

+1 to calf skin flight gloves. Gotta get the DND military surplus, not the cheap knockoffs! They have awesome grip, thin enough to move around in and fairly cheap. AA Surplus carries them if your interested
