They are pretty good, however I'm not sure it's worth it if they're going to charge you for shipping. I had to pay $17US on top of the price of the part to have a recoil spring guide for my KWA USP shipped to me. Plus it'll take 7-10 business days to get here. It's cheaper and faster to find one in Canada. You could probably even find a few local for a good price. Gun techs have these things lying around all the time.

lol what makes u think ptw is any better?

the chance of that thing breaking are most likely higher since of ESD, and way too many functions...more functions=more likeliness of shit breaking.

but PTW's are nice....way overpriced.

u jsut need to have good internals and take are of the gun properly and u wont have trouble. I ahd springers that lasted me 5 + years, etc..

its how u take cae and a bit of luck...

Springers can be tough little weapons but they also don't have to deal with the stress of pulling tough springs at 20 RPS.

Any gun can be as tough (or tougher) as a PTW if properly maintained and you have good parts. You may have just got a dud sector gear as KWA is supposed to have fairly tough internals.

I shot an e-mail to KWA. they agree to give a free part ( not sure just only sector gear or set of gear ) , and just only charge for shipping.

Hey KND - is that broken gear metal or plastic? I didn't think a gear could break like that. I can see worn / stripped teeth, but that's ridiculous.

Hi ! Crunchmeister, All the internal is metal but I have no idea why it's broken either but at least KWA sent me a replacement part for free.

Yeah, that's just whacked that a metal gear would outright break. I mean, my personal experience with broken internals is limited, but usually when I hear of people with broken gears, it's usually broken or stripped teeth. And I always hear about mostly bevel gears or spur gears stripping. I've never heard of sector gear problems.

Then again, I'm an airsoft noob too, so my personal experience with gearbox issues is really limited to the only gearbox issue I had where my TM snacked on its spur gear.

Gears was in metal. And we're not talking about stripped gears... lol a complete section of the sector gear got ripped off.

But from what I can see, the gear shimming was not perfect and there's lot scratchs on the old gears.

Wow.

Bad QA on that I'm guessing. Likely why KWA offered to replace for free.

And don't be discouraged from using LiPo batteries, or ARs for that matter.

Cast Metal

Can have hidden ( to the eye) flaws... a slightly too long pour... a cold section of the mould... anything.. and you could have a poorly interlaced crystal structure... stress it and it cracks at the flaw. No one would know till the gear was installed and failed...
