Then all games would say, "Paintball/flame resistant goggles required"

It says that they will not work if they hit colothing or skin, only hard surfaces (so a goggle hit will make a loud snap sound). Remember, they say that these things are like those little paper things you toss on the floor to make it go snap, these aren't 'exploding' BBs that make a big flash and can leave a burn mark.

About the AI grenade, why not use duster?
(not that I'm condoning their use, but it's technically "safe," and feasible, no?)

You can somewhat make your own..buy a dollar store revolver with a "through" barrel, put in a cap, and stick a BB into it. It'll fire the BB along with the cap bursting. Of course, it's even less powerful then springer. Feels like getting one thrown at you.

Tsk, it was just a question, no need to flash your little e-wee-wee. Noone wants to see it anyways.

I see them as a novelty but not one I would use, maybe outdoors on a cement wall but never indoors or anything where I might get little burn marks on my walls ,hardwood or lino.

I'd be pretty pissed off if someone shot me in the goggles and it left a burn mark on the lens.

If you get a proper seal while doing this you can actually shoot a BB at over 300 FPS.

Actually I'd love to see a bunch fired against a wall (at night?) from those MadBull CO2 powered 40mm grenades (the center/bulk loading ones that can fit 6mm, 8mm or paintballs -- seems it'd be pretty safe launching them that way).
Or someone hook me up with a bunch and I'll film it :P
