If you like shooting 4-6 ft go ahead.
If you don't like upgrades thats fine.
If you like recocking every shot go ahead.
If you like 10 rd mags thats fine.
If you like a gun that breaks after a few hundred rds that fine too.
If you like clear plastic thats great.
If you like all of the above go get a springer.
That said enjoy and btw I own a springer so I can comment.

1. False. 30ft from a TM spring pistol

2. True.

3. True.

4. False. 22rnds in a TM spring pistol, most spring pistols have around that and many rifles have more.

5. False. TM spring pistol, 4 years old and still running like new.

6. True, if you're talking about softair guns from CT; I assumed this was airsoft guns.

7. Yeah...don't buy a springer, in comparison to a GBB or AEG...they suck!

Other than the feel what are your thoughts on the gun? Any problems with it so far? Does it fire as fast as they claim out of the box? Overall preformance etc.

No, to get it to fire as fast as they claim you have to charge it first.

have you shown him the marvels of FULL and AUTOMATIC fire?
has he EVER played an outdoor game?
has he ever played an INDOOR game?
springers are only good for sniper rifles for reliability reasons.

I've only shot off like 30 rounds, no problem so far. It fires quite nicely, I would guess it's in the range of 400 or so.

Either way, they don't sell to people under 18.
