US Warehouse.
The order I placed after making this thread only arrived around the end of September... paid for airmail and POS Malaysia sent it by sea.

Is that happening for all the International orders now? Or was that just a legitimate mistake on their part?
What about issues associated with customs and duties on packages from the US? Edit: right now the international warehouse is only giving me the option of FedEx for $34, cost of goods is about $65. And the US warehouse doesn't have my batteries in stock. Last edited by AnthonyG; December 22nd, 2014 at 02:05.. |

Well, if your order has a battery in it, its going by sea. There's a number of threads on it over on the hobbyking forums.
Customers aren't really informed of it, so not a mistake. Guess they also make a buck or two off of you as they probably get to keep the extra you pay for shipping. I don't see any issues with ordering batteries from their US site, its just a R/C battery. Duties and taxes are expected so that's not really an issue. Send them an email? I don't know about Fedex, I only had a standard airmail option when I went to place my order.

Okay, so the US West has all the items in my order (was looking at east), and they also do Purolator which is my preferred shipping option. The shipping is cheaper so everything comes out to the same price as the international warehouse.
If anything I could get charged HST upon delivery which is acceptable. |

Another tip, if you're ordering batteries, consider ordering some XT60 connector since they're pretty much the latest standard for R/C. Plus, its easier and less of a hassle to rewire one or two guns than "X" number of batteries.
Performance wise, they're equal to, or better than deans connectors. Airsoft tech is a bit behind R/C tech so you see a lot of guns w/ tamiya's and as of late, some of them wired for deans from factory.

I'd considered it, but thought I could always go to my local RC shop and buy them to put on later.
Anyways my order was placed for 3x Turnigy nano-tech 2000mah's. I also got the Turnigy Accucell-6 with external DC supply since it came out slightly cheaper than the Imax (and I have extra laptop power supplies kicking around). My gun is rear-wired with a crane stock so I had to go nunchuck style, otherwise I probably would have tried 2 large capacity batteries. And I got a lovely little voltage alarm for $2 on ebay. Purolator shipping should either arrive Christmas eve or next week. |
