Do you find when using these goggles for a long period of time they chaff the face? Mine was right sore by the end of 7 hours and I'm still a teeny bit red around the eyes today.

I think what's confusing most folks is the little plastic adapter guy that affixes the strap to the rail. Does that come with the stretchy straps?

No, but I have some goggle hooks that came with my speed helmet, along with many other little bits to attach accessories including a picitanny mount.

I wore these during a recent two week Unit field exercise, and they are not bad at all;
Good Points: - They look badass; - "Ignitor" lens is almost as effective for increasing contrast as CF issue "vermillion" lenses; and - Pretty low profile. The bad: - Stock strap is very short, if you have a big melon like me (7 7/8 hat size) you'll need to put the strap all the way out and even then it's a bit snug; - You have to be paranoid about storing these in the carrying case or somewhere safe, since they don't have a separate frame once you scratch these, that's it throw them in the trash; and - If you are out in the cool air (twilight, night, or just a cool day) and you start sweating, these will fog.. Possible fix would be to create some vents by removing some of the closed cell foam around the edges of the goggles. |

The post mounts come with the straps if the straps are ordered independantly (not sure if they come included with any package deals). Here's a quote from oneshottactical:
" This Bungee Cord/ Velcro strap option will come with two post mounts (not shown) that clip into helmet rail mount systems. "

And Josh, huge +1 to the tinyness of the stock straps for us big headed folk.

Hmm, I have melon-head too. Maybe I just have baby face? Lol. Maybe I'll grab the bungees and try them with my helmet. Probably vaseline my eyeline before the game too. I've got a history of sensitive skin so maybe it's just me.
I was thinking, to help with venting in the goggles, cutting half centimeter (5mm) slits/slots every inch or so in the foam may help with this. I may try this as an alternative. The biggest problem is the fact that it is closed cell foam, so there is very little ventilation. I went for a run after sunset with them however and even with leaving them on for five minutes afterwards and being static, hot and sweaty they didn't fog. I had virtually no fog issues with them in 7 hours of play, just some condensation. As stated though, even guys that had goggles with fans were running into this problem. Once the breeze picked up a bit this was generally a non-issue, even for me.
