I might possibly know a few buyers

When you think about it - theres so much play that goes on between your vest and body along with running around and taking dives.

The only real way to do it, other than a helmet, would be to get some kind of rail mount - mcgyvering shit could also be faulty because you never really know how well shit will hold up under weather/running & gunning conditions.

Real operators use the gopro on their helmet. It look tacticool.

But High Speed Low Drag operators use ContourHD, because they are better and cooler.

More versatile and discrete too.

What the hell are you talking about? Contour footage plays and edits perfectly fine on a PC.

I'm guessing he doesn't want to install QuirkTime... a valid point, IMO.

exactly.. sure my powerdirector will do mov files, but then I got to have quicktime always running, poping up, taking over file formats with each update... its a hassle, I really dislike it.

I might be completely misunderstanding your issue, but if you don't want Quicktime you could instead install VLC. It can handle pretty much every file-type imaginable and isn't nearly as annoying.

Also, I run a GoPro using the headstrap mount. It is a bit awkward, but the only comments I get are how awesome it is

well its been a while... I run vlc as my default player, and sure it will play mov files without quicktime, but it was my understanding/experience that you needed quicktime plug in to run any mov file in almost any video editing software like premier or powerdirector

anyways, getting off topic, Im sure both are equally great...

so no ideas on how to rock a gopro cool?

maybe I'll go back to mounting it on my buttstock again...

I have a basic QT installed with itunes, I run my mov files, edit them just fine and never see any nagging pop up or take over...

If your issue is mounting. Get a sleek contour. If you won't due to file type. Than either find software to convert the files right away. Or deal with mounting that god awefully ugly gopro.

I love my little contour.
Plus the hat clip http://contour.com/products/hat-mount
Is pretty sweet

Besides, this is airsoft, its a fashion show for men. If I'm not trying to look cool, then I might as well game in a Hartford whalers T-shirt and jeans. Obviously I care a little bit.

I just wanted to know if there was a non compromising solution between practical and aesthetics.
How do you know you "look Cool"? do strangers come up to you and say..

"Excuse me .. I normally don't do this, but you just look soooo cool I needed to let you know" ( ok ok.. this has happened to me.. at least in my dreams.. but I am always dressed as a Viking when it happens )

I would posit that it is actually pretty hard to "look Cool" while dressed up as a "operator" .. I would also posit that no one but you gives a rats ass what you look like. though they may indeed enjoy some good video now and again.

The coolest way I've ever seen a GoPro mounted was via an arm that attached to the MOLLE on the back of a vest, jutting out and behind the wearer. Allows for a cool over-the-shoulder view. But as far as aesthetics go, you've got a pole sticking out your back. Not to mention the logistical movement nightmares that pop up when someone's wearing a pole.
