I think the G36K would be more fitting if you're a bigger guy. But the ARES is a fairly solid gun and IIRC you should be able to put a firefox 2300 mAh "Brick" lipo in the handguard (tight fitting, make sure not to pinch wires) or a 1100 mAh short stick comfortably.
