What is it you'd have us do?

Decide exactly what you want the seller to do to make things right, but be reasonable. For example, you can ask that he refund the price of the rifle and you return it to him as the state of the gun was misrepresented. Or you can ask that he cover the repair work. You can't arbitrarily make demands, however.

You must make every effort to clear it up with him. If he doesn't make any effort to respond, state his position, and negotiate a reasonable settlement, we can take certain actions although it's generally limited to revoking AV status.

Also, please provide a link to the original sales thread so that it can be marked / preserved as part of a trade dispute.

ASC and it's member can only facilitate things. Local players might try to open other lines of comm, there is info on your resources in case of fraud and stuff like that. If the other guy doesn't make a reasonable attempt at solving this his AV status will be pulled.

As for random people posting here, it's not encouraged because it just leads to lynch mobs who will probably do more harm than good. Stupid arguments ensue then it's no longer about the trade issue and stupid bullshit seeps in. People are more than welcome to chime in if they have something to add, but just adds irrelevant chatter.

For now, give the guy a day or two to get back to you. People have lives. Still doesn't excuse shitty comms, but heh.

How was the payment issued? This matters since there are various recovery solutions, depends how you forked over the cash.

Sorry for the bad first impression, usually people here are on the level.

G&G M14 Mechbox wont fit in a Cyma M14. That should have been the first clue.

G&G M14 Mechbox is not a V7.

Something is not right here.

I wouldn't have known that. And I've got a few years under my belt. I know we always preach to the noobs to read up on every single subject regarding every question they have. But in this case I don't think we can blame OP. If a G&G mechbox does not fit, then the issue is with the seller advertising it as such.

Whenever trading in the classifieds you should have their real name, phone number, email address and mailing address.

In the case of mail fraud, contact the seller with your concern, wait a week, contact with ultimatum, wait a week, then it's under your discretion to contact the authorities and give them all pertinent information regarding the situation.

It is up to the buyer and seller to come to an agreement of exchanging information before a trade, if you're OK with an EMT and mailing address, it's bit like fucking without a condom. If both parties consent, it's kind of hard to cry rape when you get Chlamydia.

That being said, I hope it all works out for you, and that this is a lesson learned with trading online.

I wasn't expecting something immediate, but just some advice in the mean time so that when the staff do get to this post, I will know what information to give them.

I EMT'd him the money, and I simply asked for a refund, and I will pay return shipping.

Check out the original ad, It said it came with a G&G mech box, I wasn't aware it wouldn't fit in the first place.

I told him that a refund would be nice, so that I could purchase another gun, and that I would pay the return shipping.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...light=m14+cyma

is a link the the ad itself. I have send an email and a ASC pm to him with my request, I have yet to hear back. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!

Banned the seller from his thread for 14 days so he cannot edit/delete anything at this point. Also fired of a PM asking him to resond here asap or to you via PM.
