I'd say it's certainly part of it, but I also think that to be the "best sniper" you need to take into account WHO he killed and, thus, the impact of his kill streak.

That guy who killed Kennedy was a pretty good sniper then eh? I mean he only got 1 kill, but it was a good one.

Real Sword SVD. Expensive but great sniper rifle right out of the box. Great craftsmanship, great performance, it's an AEG so you could keep shooting without pulling the bolt, which reduce your disadvantage against Opponents with AEGs.

Good luck finding one, it's not impossible but they're a tad rare.
Whoa whoa whoa buddy, no there not rare... i found this site retailer were they sell like millions of them for cheap... yes could be clones, but if you upgrade it it wouldn't be a clone now would it?...

The JG BAR-10 is a clone of the TM VSR-10. I have one which I bought then upgraded with PDI parts, good to go and shoots like a champ. IOT get the FPS of such a rifle up to snuff you would have to replace the internals anyway, so buying a clone like the JG is workable.

If it's a clone, it's not a tokyo marui now is it?

And as a matter of solid, field proven FACT, certain tolerances in clone rifles are sometimes off, meaning if you put all the parts from my TM VSR into a JG VSR and the JG might not perform as well, you're just going to need to replace more parts to get it up to the same accuracy, like the receiver, hop chamber, barrel spacers, etc.
The parts you're keeping from the clone rifle are the base of what you're building your rifle on. It's no different than buying a CYMA AK47 and putting an FTK in it. It's just not going to perform as well or as reliably as say a VFC AK with an FTK.

That being said, I've only seen 2/15 clone sniper rifles perform better out of the box than a marui VSR-10. Put a 360-380fps spring in a stock marui, and it'll outrange MOST 470fps clone rifles without a problem. You're not guaranteed to get a crap clone, but there IS a lemon rate that you need to be aware of.

There's a reason to buy quality name brand stuff instead of clones. Especially when it comes to a sniper rifle, you depend on that one shot, it needs to be perfect every time.

I fully agree. ThunderCactus is one of few really savvy airsoft snipers. Take his advice.

I learnet it doesn't work like that. if you start with a cheap base, the body won't be as good and in the end, the whole thing won't be crisp. You need to start from a decent one. and yes, TM ARE rare. The VSR is a little more common, I wanted a L96, I had to have it custom ordered from the states...

There are "sniper qual" courses indeed, with some being run out of TO that I know of. Some fields do indeed require you are qual'd IOT run a sniper rifle at certain velocities, but of course the qual course will be avail in the region if that is the case.

In Ottawa we don't have a sniper qualification course set up yet, so the fields don't require it etc...

Im a huge 7.62 and SR25 fan, but i havent heard to much about the G&G SR25. As far as i heard it uses proprietary G&G mags (much like their M14 does). im curious to see if the mechbox inside is a standard V2/V3 mechbox. If it is it definitley peaks my interest into building a custom SR25. Can anyone confirm?

no matter what kind of AEG you get, you're always going to need internal upgrades to make it shoot nice.
Keep in mind there are other factors that affect your range and accuracy more than just the FPS. The first thing you'll want to upgrade is the hopup rubber, it's the cheapest upgrade you can do, and the most effective.

SR25s do use V2 mechboxes, however there are two main types, one has a longer cylinder and piston, the other just has a longer air nozzle. Haven't worked on enough to memorize which is which.
