Thanks to EagleDriver for the prog info and TechSeller for the confirmation, I was able to program it and test it successfully this weekend.
I used the PX6IN1 programmation utility with the included cable on my Windows Seven x64 PC, and it worked flawlessly. As TechSeller suggested, I selected "PX777/328 CH128 MSK+CCIR" in the dropdown menu. I personally added a bunch of other freqs as I use it for hiking too, like the international 406.00 emergency frequency, but here I just uploaded the basic 22 FRS/GMRS channels. Be sure to rename the file and remove the ".txt" so you're left with the ,sin extension.

I sort of had the same question, I didn't see anywhere I could set the channel names in the programming file, is this possible.
Damn, this radio is awesome for the price. I had a vertex 77r and this has most of the functions I used that one for. Mind you that was a triband. Was yet another thing that was stolen out of my truck at an airsoft game a couple years back. |

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with my 777.
I used the .sin file that Conker provided with the 6-in-1 program, and it said all is well. But when I turn it on I can only access the FRS channels 8-14, which turn out to be frequencies in the 467s. I can't seem to turn to any channels in the 462s. Just wondering how I would go about accessing the other programmed channels. Thanks |

If you're having a lot of trouble, try programming it manually.
Isn't that hard, should take 5 minutes. |

Back when you said that on page one I tried that. Wasn't able to program channels in the 462s, so I'm sure at this point I'm doing something wrong, I just can't figure out what that might be.

Are you sure your radio supports the 462.xxxx band? I've seen all kinds of variants on eBay. Just because it's UHF doesn't mean it covers all UHF bands.
edit: example: http://cgi.ebay.ca/4x-Puxing-PX-777-...item19b50e4661 That covers 465-520mhz range, so you wouldn't be able to program in 462 band.

Thats interesting. You're right. I was focused on the fact that the manual said I could program lower than 465, but looking at the back when taking off the battery says otherwise. Oye, now I feel silly.

Yeah, you should have bought the 400-470MHz version.
