Having Trouble Fitting A sp125 spring into a v3 gearbox

Hello everyone. I am having trouble fitting a sp125 spring into a v3 gearbox. The stock spring is shorter that the sp125 and the sp125 does not want to fit in there. Can I just snip a little piece of spring off or? Please help ASAP

Use more muscles and fit it in?

It can't be all the way compressed when it's not even in there...

what brand of spring is it?
what type of battery do you have?
what beand of gun is it?
what brand of gearbox?
what parts are in the gearbox (reinforced or not)?

provide more info and well help u better

generally, with a higher tension spring you should be using a strong battery such as a 9.6v+. Also, with a higher tension spring you should have if u dont already, reinforced gears and metal bushings, metal ball bearinf spring guide and ideally a sorbo pad...

again, provie more info about ut gun, wat u want done etc...

Okay. So I am using the stock battery. IT worked fine, the I open up the damn thing because of the trigger getting locked and CRACK....my tappet plate snaps. I purchased a element max torque kit, sp125 spring and tightbore and air nozzle. It worked until my tappet plate snapped. My ROF was slow so I may pick upp a 9.6v battery. I just ordered another tappet plate from WeaponBlender.com. Its a polycarb. IT better not snap. The tune up kit came with reinforced metal gears with a torque teeth setup, polycarb piston and ball bearing piston head. Came with a metal ball bearing spring guild, some shims and bushings(that did not fit my gun). So now I have to wait a week or two to get the tappet plate. I just waited 2 weeks for my crap to get in from hong kong. I hate this waiting game. But, when I tried it when the tappet plate was not snapped, everything ran very smoothy. Very surprised. The battery is a 8.4v 1200 MaH NICD battery. Came stock with the gun. Just gotta wait this one out boys....

8.4v mini? Yeah not big enough, especially if it's a shitty chinese battery that came with the gun.

You shouldn't need a 9.6v, Just a better battery.
