I have one of the tracer mags for the M4, and it sucks, doesn't illuminate the bb's all that great, stick to the tracer unit.

I've had pretty good results with tracer mags. The LED isn't as bright with AA as it is with N batteries. Would be nice if the light was white rather then blue.

I found the color of the light didn't make a difference, the silencer unit works real well and doesn't look too bad on a SIG either.

Try loading the last 10-15 rounds with regular bb's. This way it illuminates all the tracer ones. I use this method and all the tracer bb's are bright.

Mix tracers with regular BB's... IIRC, in real steel (for the helicopter guns) it's 1 in every 5 rounds is the tracer.

I haven't seen any, but I don't think it'd be too hard to mod one.

i do mix them, 1 to 3. I like using them on lmgs to confuse my enemies
but loading the last 15 rounds basically kills off half the mag and makes it pointless.

It actually isn't that hard to make a little super bright white LED in a part of the gun to charge these things... There's quite a few tutorials around the net.

Yep, I've been looking to mod one of my APS mags with an internal led light set up, and have found that it's quite easy with a trip to an electronics depot. Been holding off though, as I'm waiting for someone to start manufacturing tracer BBs in at least 0.30 weights..........think I might be waiting a while.
