Inner Barrel Companies
Hello again everyone,
I was asking around about inner barrels and just wanted to know the opinions of the experts. Out of all the inner barrels, i have been told to stick with the 6.03, as opposed to a 6.02 due to jamming with lower quality BBs. That being said, are BB Bastard BB's considered high or medium quality? Could they be used with a 6.02mm inner barrel?. Now unless someone says otherwise (and please do), i will assume this is true. That being said, i was told that the Madbull inner barrels are not that much better than the stock barrels by someone who actually uses them. So, my question is what brand of tightbore barrels would you recommend to provide myself with the best accuracy possible. Secondly, i realize that my inner barrel can only be as long as my outer barrel, or else it will stick out. that being said, how can i lengthen my outer barrel so i can obtain a longer inner barrel. Thanks, Donster 125 |

Well one option to extend your outer barrel is to get a silencer to conceal the inner barrel. As for brand of barrels...I dont know lemme throw something random out that...systema. Why? Why not, systema seems to be on top with everything else so far!
I wish I could tell you more about BBs, unfortunelty Ive only ever used Metal Techs and TM.

KM TN barrel (6.04) = very good
systema = very good Prometheous = very good madbull = very good something you've almost never heard of = not that good. |

PDI claims the highest tolerances and I use them exclusively. It should be noted that they are probably the most expensive.
Many guys in the States use Dees Customs 6.01 barrels in their boltaction rifles with good success. They claim to have tight tolerances also. Prometheus, SystemA & KM TN barrels are good choices also. For an AEG you are probably best off sticking with 6.03 - 6.05 bores. I use a PDI 6.01 with KSC perfect .30g BBs in my M14 and have never had a jam but I could just be lucky. |

I've used Prometheus and Systema, out of that I prefer Prometheus.

untreated brass. They're fine and I would not hesitate getting one over a prom 6.03. I have used both and I like my DB 6.01 better. You might want to talk to them about their universal hop up cut. They say it can be used with multiple AEGs.

so far i'd have to say prometheus is the best, I don't trust mad bull light barrels, and I've heard of the systema barrels jamming.
systema is great because its 2nd best in all mechbox internals. Prometheus is the next step up, the reason they don't produce certain internal parts is because they haven't found a way to make them to their high standards yet. |

I'm a PDI 01 lover. Admittedly I've had jams but I think it's more at the Firefly bucking than the barrel. I can't really say that I've had increased accuracy with the PDI than Prometheus or Tanio Koba (all this @ 247mm for P90) - but the thought of the 6.01mm and a slight increase in FPS is nice to me .

ya you did. i read the same thing, that they are not that much differen't from stock barrels. i like the idea of getting a prometheus barrel, but the 6.01 inner barrel looks really sweet. all i want to know now is if the BB Bastard BBs are good enough quality to use with a 6.02 or 6.01 inner barrel.

Deep fire is also an option. They're stainless steel, 6.02 or 6.04. airsoftparts.ca has them in stock, and they're very reasonably priced. I have one, just haven't had an oppourtunity to game much with it. I've heard they're good.
As for extending your inner barrel, what kind of gun do you have? One plan I had for my M4 before I got rid of it, was too swap the fron end for an M16 one (change the cylander to a non-ported one). |
