Looking for that first gun

Im new to the world of airsoft, i have read many forms and info on the topic. I am looking forward to perhaps seeing many of u one day.

But my qusetion is what are anyones thoughts on the 2007 TSD Tactical M4 Classic. It seems to be a very good gun but i wanted everyones opinion on it as it will be my first gun. And if anyone else has any suggestions on a first buy.

Thanks Dan

For a first gun it may not be a good idea... Simply because the internals are relatively unknown and may be good, but also may be quite shotty.

If I could recommend what you would do, for a metal, relatively cheap gun that won't break down, I would suggest the ICS MP5. I believe BuyAirsoft carries them for $435, too.

I just got into the sport, I was looking at one of the new CYMA guns, but I got a Classic Army G36 instead. I haven't used one of the China guns and I've heard they're pretty good, but seriously man the CA is awsome. Yea it's a lot of money but the thing is solid as hell, I have absolutly no worry about it breaking at all. It's pre-upgraded too, so I won't even have to worry about that. I was kindof leary about dropping a lot of money on it but hell I haven't even been out to a game with it yet (prolly fired off 1000 rounds at targets though....) and I'm already glad I spent the extra $350.

Just my $0.02.

well abs is durable, but if u do want metal, yes ics guns are great for that, however a m4 model/m16 model for ics are more expensive than the tsd, however from what i hear, ull get a better bang for ur buck with getting the ics ones

the TSD is 100% Tokyo Marui Compatible for any upgrades so it could be a plus, or it could turn out to be a real lemon. Im kinda on the fence about it as it would be good to find out for myself and as well everyone else to let u guys know about this gun

Here is Raygis' review of the SRC (TSD) XM8.

Looks like the internals aren't bad.

well the problem with buyairsoft.ca is from what i believe, they offer no returns or refunds if the gun is working when out of the box and breaks later, so a lemon could be a problem, i personally would say spend the extra 200 or so for something u are confident with. also for that price if it is 100% tm compatible why not just get the tm?? lol

edit: dam to late

How does one become age verified? Simple.

1) Locate a local representative who is conducting age verification. You can find a list in this thread: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=27268
2) Arrange a meeting privately, at a monthly function, or at a game.
3) Bring along a piece of photo ID, and one other piece of ID just incase.
4) Have your real name AND ASC user name recorded after your ID is checked.

The regional representative will look at your ID, ensure you are who you say you are, that you are 18 years of age or older, and record your REAL name AND your ASC USER NAME. This ensures that you match your ASC username. You are now age verified!

It make take several days for your name to be processed into the database and be added to the classified section. Reps and the ASC Staff will be working hard to ensure we get everyone verified as quickly as possible!
