Paraclete Plate Carrier
I have been searching for a fully modular armour carrier for some time now, and have narrowed it down to two choices: the eagle plate carrier with cumberbund, and the paraclete plate carrier with cumberbund. I am trying to go for the US Special Forces type theme, and these two rigs seemed to fit the bill. Both look very well made and have lots of real estate, I am wanting to attatch side pouches too so the cumberbund would come in handy. Unfortunately though I cannot find my first choice, the eagle rig in olive drab anywhere, and forecasted delivery estimates vary greatly. I am now considering buying the paraclete rig, but have questions about the front zipper. Has anybody out there got this paraclete rig, and if so how do you like it.

They both have strong points but the Eagle PCWCB wins.

Let me know if you want the Eagle, I'm about to put an order in. Would have to get back to you with an eta though.
The other option is the TAG releasable, I have two in stock however both are about to head overseas I believe.

Ah ha, so the eagle model seems to be the winner, and I will go with one of those. Looks like I may be waiting for some time due to out of stock on olive drab. The paraclete RMV looks like a sweet rig though, I bet it's pretty comfy too. Over my budget though.

Give Dave's Surplus in Vancouver a call ASAP 604-524-5867. Last time I checked they had a number of OD's in stock.

They have the carrier in ranger green. I think that this may contrast alot with the olive drab tactical tailor and HSGI pouches that I have. I haven't seen ranger green before, and looking at pictures on the web isn't the same as seeing it firsthand. If anyone out there mixes ranger green and OD together, I would like to hear about how it looks, and if you have pictures even better. If it's too much of a contrast, than I will have to wait until whenever Eagle ships out more OD models.

I believe Ranger Green replaces OD. You can think of RG as OD with a Gray/Purple tint to it.

I wouln't worry about mixing and matching OD to Smoke Green or whatnot. Once you've got all your pouches mounted they'll cover up the plate carrier anyway.

Hmmm, that's a good point. By the time I load up the plate carrier, most of it will be hidden. Now you've really got me thinking about going for it.

After a few hours of rolling through the dirt, the color difference won't matter anyway.
