Same. I was very happy to find out that 40Mikes are banned at Siege, which is where I usually play.

I did a birthday run there and was on the receiving end of one. Rather than something I'd shoot at people with regularly that's something I'd take revenge on someone with if I absolutely hated their guts.

I can see them being banned at Siege, but I think field bans are a result of lack of consumer education. These things aren't meant to be used like traditional moscarts or shotguns. They're meant to be used from long ranges like actual indirect fire support weapons.

i agree Duffman . indoors semi only i understand . althought the trend in quebec is 400pfs indoors i find it high ..but outdoors i can see at close range maybe not need to set minum engagement distance.

I feel like outdoors it has a lot to do with the RPS and some fields feeling this is a quick way to skirt the "semi only" rules

except when idiots don't use them like that. people bitch about getting overshot when you triple tap to make sure rounds go through foliage. People complain about getting a full auto burst at 30rps.

you want this thing that evacuates 200 bbs faster than my colon evacuates dairy out there among the people? There are a ton of people that abuse high rof semi and full auto setups.. but at least with those the idiot can take his finger off the trigger. This thing is going to bb bukakke you faster than most guns on the field and it's up to the idiot holding it to sweep it through you and not hose you down.

Personally, I've been hit by them indoors and outdoors, from close and long range. They shoot a lot of BBs at a relatively low velocity. It doesn't hurt.

I have no problem with them, and have enjoyed running them in the past until our local indoor field banned them because they would set off the fire suppression sprinklers with ricochets apparently (never witnessed this).

You need to run at the pace of your slowest person, and when it concerns "grenades" that means SLOW.

How do they differ from a standard 40mm shell? Are these the guys that launch the 68cal paintball?

They shoot standard 6mm bbs like other M203 shells.

They shoot at a lower fps then most other BB M203 shells.

They expel mostly in a straight-ish line if you hold everything extremely still and do no deviate your aim/move.

People say a demo video shot at very slow speed and lost their minds over it and banned it before it was even physically available to purchase

Fields decided it was easier to ban it versus dealing with the real issue which was dealing with the person/people who abuse them.
