Airsoft Lotto????
Any interest in an airsoft lotto?
Say someone had well over $4000 in stuff they couldn't keep anymore... Would people be interested in buying a $100 ticket (40 total) for a chance to win everything? With the understanding that if your number doesn't come up, you get nuttin'... Leave comments and I will check back. Cheers! |

The various mysterious boxes sale by a number of retailers seems much better than this as the buyers at least get something (which may be quite useless).
For airsoft, most of the time I know eactly what I am looking for and will save up enough money to buy, rather than depends on luck to win something that I may not need. Just my 2 cents. Last edited by Swattiger; January 16th, 2015 at 19:25.. |

Not to mention a lottery of this kind would require licensing to be legal... not sure it's worth the effort.

$100 for a one in forty chance to win $4000 is really hard to justify as a buyer.

It might work for individual items. I've seen it done on RC forums. $10 for a 1/40 chance to win a $400 lets people choose which items they want to buy a chance to win.

Usually 2 pages of bumps means an overly optimistic price structure.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

There's several reasons this is a bad idea, legalities not withstanding.
What happens if only one person buys a ticket, they get the whole 4K worth of shit?

lol..not worth it..part out sale might get you more...takes a bit more time tho
what is more funny is what happens if a few people bought it, but never reached 40 in a reasonable time? are you gonna play fair to continue the lotto or refund. also gambling without a license is illegal activities to my knowledge. (not illegal if you are not caught I guess) Personally I would rather buy what I need and never do a lotto, some lottos where some retails do are actually not bad, as in you get a pistol 100%, just a chance to get something better for a cheaper price. 100 bucks for all or nothing is not gonna work. I sold a lot of stuff at the retail cost or even a bit more sometimes depending on where you live. Prices here are a bit off the charts so I can buy cheap from east coast and then sell high here..It's weird..Although I only do this if I need to get rid of something I don't need anymore (and usually I expect people to low ball, so I set the bar high, then comes people who just throw cash at me a couple of times..)

This is a fucking great idea !
I'm selling my 80 000$ car worth 8000$ by selling 80 1000$ tickets. Awaiting PMs.

Not siding with Riva or nothing, but the guy has a shitload of kit.
He had a shit load when I played with him a couple years ago. But this idea sucks the big one. Who would pay 100$ to get a 1 in 40 chance of getting someone else's scraps? |

Week 1
40 Tickets at $10 raffle off $400. of stuff Week 2 40 more tickets at $10 week 3 40 more tickets at $10 Each week sell 40 more tickets they are good for every weekly draw of whatever crap you have. At the end of the weeks you grand prize the really expensive shit. So people will still buy and have a shot at the Big stuff. But this won't work for Airsoft. Especially second hand airsoft. |

Have you though about renting a storefront?
Airsoft swap party in someones' basement? Loading up the VW microbus and getting a table here?
