Your Sniper loadout?

So, hypothetically, you've been asked to fill the sniper role. What I'm curious to see is what type of loadout you would use.

For example:

Primary weapon: L96(brand specification not necesary unless you want to)
Secondary weapon: G36C
Tertiary Weapon: 1911
and any other gear you feel is necesary

This is strictly for the sake of my curiosity. And please, if somebody has done this already please point me to it. I did look but didnt really see anything like this

If your set on an L96 go with a Tokyo Marui, or the Maruzen. Both are springer, both have a host of high grade upgrade parts available. The Tokyo Marui is better for realism though, as the magazine is in the right place. The Maruzen works off of the APS-2 system, while the Tokyo Marui works off of the VSR system. The Tokyo Marui VSR G-Spec is also another very good choice, but is not a type 96 platform. If you are on a budget, buy a Classic Army M24.

Any sniper weapon you buy will need a host of upgrades, which cost a decent amount of cash to do. Then the gun has to be properly tuned, maintained, and sighted. A good sniper rifle is an investment to make it even remotely worth while, or decent AEGs and so on will rape you in distance and accuracy; making you as useless as a poopy flavored lollipop.

As for gear; comfortable, light weight, a good camo base (I suggest multicam), and a very thin and light weight ghillie suit or wrap. Ghillie suits can be real hot, and players have severly over heated from wearing them.

Be prepared to be bored out if your mind. Being an even half assed airsoft sniper requires money, experience, and a nack for it. One out of maybe a hundred snipers starting out end up decent, and stick with it. The others end up discouraged, taking a loss on their gun to sell it, and buying an AEG instead.

Your secondary should light and reliable. A KWA USP is a decent choice, and relatively cheap for what you get.

I would try to stay away from carrying a second rifle with you unless you have it slung over your back with a 2 point sling to help eliminate carrying the extra weight. Your goal is to create as small as a footprint as possible. As Ricochet said you want a comfortable and light load out and I found carrying that second rifle is neither.
Also gas blow back pistols are tons of fun but for a sniper they provide the enemy with a loud sound to locate yourself. I would try a NBB like an Oasis 22LR (few on the Classifieds once you get av'd), TM MK 23 or even any EBB (anything TM) as they are significantly quieter and would allow you to get a few shots off before anyone can locate you.
Hope this helps!

Primary upgraded vsr10 clone 500+fps. .36. Or. .40 bbs with a woodland based ghillie wrap
Backup gemtech oasis 400fps. .30
Backup backup kjw m9 380fps. .30
Woodland bdu with goretex pants sometimes the jacket too depending how wet/muddy or swampy the field is
Goretex boots
Woodland based ghillie "cape" and a woodland boonie also ghillied out with a veil.
3 rifle mags one in rifle two in a dbl pistol mag pouch just above my drop leg
2x each pistol mags one in each pistol extra in each holster pouch
M9 in a drop leg oassis in a custom holster on the belt around back
Radio with throat mike and ptt in breast pocket
A whole sh*t load of patience
Thats about it.
Sometimes i bring a camle back if its not just skirmish play cause then yer likely to be in the field for a few hours or more at a time with no break.
If i wer you id play with an aeg. See what style of play you like if you are a run n gun type a bolt action isnt really for you.
If you find yourself cawling through the mud laying in wait to ambush guys all the time while relayin info back to command while tryin to pic and choose that one shot that wont compromise your position and then realizing that u just cnt quite get the range from your aeg and then u give away your position after you fire then u may wanna consider bjilding a good bolt action.
Figure the cost of the rifle plus about 500 bucks or more in upgrades.
Maybe 15 to 20 hours worth of building a decent ghillie suit and alot of games where u either never fire a shot or u wind up ditchin your rifle after the opfor walks past u and u come up from their rear and take some out with uour pistol.
I personnaly love playing the sniper role. Im even getting decent at it and that one awesome shot/kill makes my day when i get it. Also stalking the enemy fivuring out where they are goin/ what they are planing and relaying the info back to command is quite helpfull to the team but rally only u will give yourself the credit at the end of the day. Airsoft snipers arent all gloryous like hllywood snipers just keep that in mind lol.

^ that is a true sniper's load out, let's all take note people

You will be in prone position the majority of the time so you need to be able to access your spare magazines and sidearm without having to stand up or move yourself too far from your original position.

Thanks. Yes the sniper mag pouch is on the belt strap of the drop leg facing back(up when prone)
Once in ffp the pistol iz always drawn sitting next to/below the rifle close to the supporting hand for quick access if someone entres my med
Other hand always on rifle so if i gotta bug out i can just go low crawl backwards maintain aim on target.
I always plink with the off hand so it comes naturally (i always was able to shoot both ways i just keep up the practice and suggest every sniper does)
Also i zuggest learning how to use iron sights and scopes with both eyes open so u can see what the heck is goin on around u and not get tunnel vision.
Id also suggest taping your radio earpeice with a bandaid or medical tape behind the ear u can still hear it and what is goin on around you.
In the bush 9 outta 10 times youll ddfinately hear em befor u see em especially if they are on your flank.
And yes practice crawling i dont mean and infentry mans crawl either i mean a sniper low crawl. Its easy enough till u have a rifle to drag along with you and a pistol to keep at the rdy then it geta a lil tricky. In airsoft the enemy is almost always close by so u gotta keep a pistol rdy or u are just a moving target who cant fight back.
Ill stop now i could go on all day lol

Secondary weapon... A G36? Yea kid, this isn't call of duty. Unless you mount the G36 to the underside of your rifle... But what kind of idiot would do that...?

Lol at Aqua
and add that probaby the only aeg that u could use as a secondary would be an mp5k or maybe one of them m4's with no stock and a stuby killer front end and a VN style mag still a lil bulky but doable. also in a milsim type game where youll be in the field quite a while it may be practical to lug a full sized m4 or ak in a rilfe drag bag with a ghillie on it so when u have it folks wont see "that bush over there with the gun bag" u could leave it at yer fall back position or even have it at yer ffp and if shyte hits the fan you could bug out with the aeg instead of the bolt action. Keeping in mind that it may be hours befor you can get back to your ba IF you can get back to it during tue game. Maybe under cover of darkness u can return IF u marked it on gps or IF u are lucky enough to find a ghillied up rifle under a ghillied up bag in the dark without using a flashlight in the woods.
So in that case u may as well just have played with an aeg.
I will however say that in a skirmish setting i often will bring bot my bolt action and an aeg to the field and leave either the bolt action at a central ffp for when we need a sniper or leave the aeg at the respawn for when things are too hairy and an extra assulter on the field will be more usefull to the team then ill fall back ditch the ba grab the aeg and flank on the enemy.
