are these safe for airsoft?
does anyone use these, they are the ones used by the us troops now. just says plastic, but i was wondering if they can take a bb shot.

No, those arn't safe for Airsoft. Good to complete a look for out of action pictures though...but they arn't ballistic so won't be suitable for in game use.

the cf gets issued them.
I'm almost positive that all actual issue ones (ie not bought in the PX or canex, or surplus store) are ballistics level. Greg |

Still.... most fields will not let you use them.
They demand Paintball approved goggles only.

they are real issue surplus. but i wont take a chance with the eyes. ill get some ballistic approved. i have some jt's for a paint field. just want a small pair for other airsoft fields

If the lense you have for the SWD goggles say ballistic on the top, than your good, but if they don't a BB will go right through.
I would assume SWD goggles with a ballistic lense would be alright for a airsoft only field, but if your playing on a paintball field you would need paintball approved goggles. |

yeah i know i need the jt's for the paintball field. i didnt get any yet i just saw them on e bay cheap.

The green tinted lenses for them are the laser/ballistic protective lense.
Though the green tint might bother some ppl I find I get used to them pretty fast, and they're great goggles imo if you're in the rain without a hat. Toughest testing I've been able to do is with a 150% pdi spring and bushings upgrade in my spetz @ 2 feet and they held up fine. But like others have said some fields wont allow them anyways. |

ok mate ill get some as there cheap yes they come with 2 lenses clear & tinted. i can always use them doing some diy anyway.

bolle now makes a tactical goggle use by us special force 2.2mm ballistic rated. thats is base on the look of the dust goggles you have showen.
