Breaking someones flashlight

I was lately playing a CQB game, and we were playing attack and defend. So I was defending, and someone got close enough to leave they're flashlight in a window sill facing my groups defending point. It was obviously distracting us. I just thought of this after but, what if one of us shot it to make it screw off, and in the process broke it. Do you guys think it should be the responsibility of the shooter to replace it, or is that just a risk of leaving your flashlight places =P

Just an opinion post, don't worry it didn't actually happen =]

Same rule as cameras and Night vision, Don't use it if you don't want it shot. Sure you'd be a douche for shooting it but he never should have done that if he didn't expect it to be shot at.

Thats why i only use <$30 flashlight for airsoft never the good $50+ ones.

If you specifically place your flashlight to provide you with an advantage , then you should expect someone to work against that advantage.

Don't risk what you can't afford to loose.

IMO it's a risk that you take bringing stuff onto the field.

I pretty much expect anything that is brought onto the field to be shot at, damaged, get wet or muddy, get paint on (if playing at a PB field), randomly burst into flames, explode in a miraculous fashion, etc.

The flashlight is the flashlight owners responsibility.

We had a guy out at the last night game who wouldn't turn his white light off,,,

He nearly experienced some battery problems with his flash.

Like the others said. its his problem, not yours. Next time, just shoot it if you want.

I agree. That's why I also bought a 10-pack of remplacement lens for mine.

Accidents happens. If I field it, it's fair game.

This thread was much more hilarious when I read it as

"Breaking someone's fleshlight"

But yeah, things in airsoft games are going to get shot. Not your problem.
However if it's the lighting of the facility, or glass/etc (like the Melville Hospital location that we use to have in SK, RIP) that you're shooting at, you're just being a dick because it's probably the facility's policy that you don't shoot that stuff intentionally.

Lmao yeah, some one left their fleshlight lying around, so I shot it and broke it ^__~.

And yeah, I wouldn't shoot the venue lighting, just like distraction devices and stuffies

Don't expect it to be in the condition you left it.

At Hot Box, we ended up shooting at it LOTS and throwing the following items at a flashlight.
  1. A Tornado Grenade
  2. A wooden drawer
  3. A 10"x10" metal plate

Whatever you bring out, you should expect it to be shot at/damaged

That's why you by the 17 bucks for 3 Cree LED flashlights from costco. Yeah they take AAA batteries but 5 and change for a 180 lumen flashlight you wouldn't worry about it either way
