hope it's better than their M4... at least it's not a WAish design.

Since there's no need for a [large] battery, I'd prefer slither stock.

Still, super nice.

Not to be a Debbie Downer:

-No bolt lock on last round.
-Poor recoil (from beta versions at trade shows, take with grain of salt)
-Is apparently based loosely on Maruzen system.
-Large cool down effect (based on beta versions at trade shows).

The above is what I scrounged together from multiple forums, don't take it as my word, I haven't even seen a video of one fire.
EDIT: and why they didn't release this as MP5SD, I have no idea, it's the perfect gun for GBBR.

It's a tiny, tiny bolt, so expecting huge recoil would be unrealistic. The real mp5 is quite controllable though, isn't it? And with long skinny mags like that I'm not surprised that it's got cool down issues. Just another good reason to release a 3rnd burst lower receiver

- Bolt doesn't lock back on the real gun either. Although some mechanism to stop firing on an empty mag would be nice like one the GBB AKs where the bolt locks just partially open. It's not "realistic" in the sense that the real steel doesn't have a bolt stop, but does make function more realistic as it stops firing when out of ammo.

- While recoil is nice, it doesn't make or break the gun. You could make the same comment about any GBB pistol that it has low recoil. That doesn't detract from them. After all, a TM 1911 having low recoil (compared to the real steel) is certainly not a hit against the airsoft gun.

- I own a Maruzen MP5, and from the pics here, I don't see any similarities between the 2, either in the trigger / hammer group, or in the bolt. At best the internal gas system may be based on the Maruzen design, that there's where it ends.

- Cooldown I can see because of the design of the mag. The Maruzen has some serious cooldown as well.

I'd still hold off for a while and see how they fare. Usually, the 1st gen of any GBB design has a lot of issues. The VFC Amarlite GBBRs haven't been too great to date.
