Mechanical ventilation for goggles
I've only seen one option and it didn't look very appeal. I am looking for a system to fan vent my ESS Land Ops goggles. Any suggestions? Sources?
Thanks. |

i just screw an old computer fan to the top of my goggles, wire it up to a 7.2v RC car battery and put that in the breast pocket of my BDUs, that battery will last weeks

Suck or blow...that Was too easy ;)
So draw through the top I'm guessing? What size fan are you using?
Seriously? I'm the only guy who wears glasses and has a fogging problem in my goggles? Damn man. I think I'm going to start producing something and marketing it 'cause this seems really common even for not glasses folks. Can you post a photo or that setup? Thanks! |

I have glasses, I bought the TM goggle maskes with the loudest fan on earth.
Have not yet tried it on the field though. It has good reviews. |

You're not the only one, here's my set up....
I used 20mmx20mm 5v computer fans, connected to a 9v battery, cost build, around 15$-20$ I also installed them on a pair of JT spectra goggles with THERMAL lens, and I also use Fogtech on the lens, but mostly on the prescription glasses I'm wearing underneath .... And theres also someone that already sells such a kit, its called the "FANZ kit", just google it.... |

I use a big 2" fan with a shroud to direct the air into the goggles. it makes for incredible ventilation, i have never had the slightest fog on my mask or glasses, and it keeps my forehead cool too

Fanzine it is then!
Did some more hunting and there is a G&G goggle fan kit available. Finding the fans alone was a futile Internet search gone wrong. There is probably some really good tech/electronics stores in North York or Toronto but who has the time to find that.
Thanks all for the info. I have just ordered a "double fan" kit on line and will see how that works out. Happy airlifting from Barrie Ontario. TDH |

BTW: I find zipties to be too big, bulky and unconveniant for some goggle systems, so O would recommend to use sewing thread instead, cheap, and effective

If you want new goggles, check out the Smith Optics Elite OTW w/ fan. Sweet goggle kit, if you can get it! Sold in the US only
Im trying to get my hands on a set now, but am currently using the Revision Desert Locusts with the no fog cloth on both my goggle lenses and my glasses lenses.

Now my eyeballs are drying out!
Cool...like the tip about the sewing thread. I'll explore that a bit and see what works...nylon fishing line w/ melted tie-off? Hmmm. I have a couple grand worth of stuff coming from various parts of Canada and the States and then I'll probably have a bunch more questions.
Thanks guys...very helpful! |

I deal the FANZ kits and got fresh stock again. Singles and Doubles run on a 9v and silent fans.

Ooooo do want. I was thinking about getting some mesh goggles but I'm a little scared of not having something impermiable between my eyes and the pellets
