Amen, I think we need to do better as a community to educate new players about LiPo batteries, trigger contacts, voltages, etc. There are some good (and entertaining) videos on YouTube that try to dispel some of the myths.

BTW, I'm thinking those myths aren't helped by the fact that some forums on the net keep old FAQs and posts around that were written in the Jurassic age.. And that google indexes this stuff. The number of times a week that I google something airsoft related and end up on a thread or webpage written over half a decade ago is pretty often.

I hate considering a new gun, doesnt really matter what type, and trying to find a decent review online....only to be bombarded by hundreds of videos on the gun...done by 12 yr olds.

I'm guilty of #2, #3, and #4 . Trying to get better at it

I can relate to that. In fact any piece of gear. Like plate carriers, Hey all the power to em, but it's hard to take the review seriously when the vest is just about as big as the kid doing the review.

Don't know if this has been brought up yet, but airsoft videos on youtube or elsewhere annoy me.

Either the video is grainy, the music sucks or is poorly chosen, the camera shakes, there's no ability to follow the action, and the list goes on....

Are there any good airsoft videos out there, since the 99.9% of the ones I see are pure crap?
