They keep getting more and more vocal and more and more populated each year. I mean the problems we've had with Malathion protests, Critical Mass Cyclists, etc. It gets more and more pronounced each year.

I hang around hippies. I don't care what they think or have to say, and many of them are my friends. I only disagree with them when they force their opinions on me. But to say that such a problem that faces toronto is non-extant in Winnipeg is just ignoring fact. Sure, it's not at the same scale, but we're not comparing amounts, we're comparing that it exists.

So sorry, I helped get that snowball rolling. I'm sure they're not as hard as I was though.

Well the streets aren't full of Leafs fans!

But seriously the country does change as you go from province to province. Not good, not bad, just different. Some people can live in Halifax or Regina without blinking and eye, others get a rash if they get a block away from home.

in casual conversation I mention I "play a sport kinda like paintball" and take it from there stressing fitness, friendships, teamwork, tactical thinking and fun. 1 person at a time I am introducing this sport to them. It seems to be working, they ask how the big games went afterwards.

Same here. I've even got a couple people here thinking about coming out to a game come spring. Granted I don't work with mostly women... or... any women... on the night shift...

But the guys here seem to like seeing the pictures and hearing the stories... but for some reason they all seem to think BBs hurt or something...

My old boss at Ipsos Reid knew exactly what I did as I had to request a vacation slot of 1 week for Survivor 2. She asked why, I told her it what it was for and explained the sport in short. She thought it was kinda neat and approved my request. lol...

She was a pretty cool boss though.

Can't imagine he's gonna win it. Though, I'm sure a smart man like miller ( ) is capable of making up a good argument, and defending it....

What does Ipsos Reid do? Just those polls the news always talks about? Or do they do ... other stuff... ?

My boss is pretty cool with giving me time off for events and games. I've already booked the weekend in June for CANOP08, and the week of KS4 in case I can find a way out there...

I did get some looks when I was trying to explain Zeon's Zombie games of '07

"You need time off so you can do what? Kill zombies? What are you on Josh?"

It also helps that the office you work for also had me working as a supervisor....
