It's kind of unfair because some have distance on their side. Also the lighting on the soldier behind the bush on the left doesn't have the same lightign as he would if he were actually there.
Danish and cadpat should be quite simaler in effectiveness. The german works on the same principal but the color of your surroundings is a factor. Here in canada, German would be particularly good in the fall. So would Aussi. But they are both very effective in the summer too. |

@Moonrabbit: you're right. Photo-montage will never work the same as real images due to different lightings. I only tried to get some impression on that until i can do some real nature images on those patterns.
Maybe this one (comparing digital patterns :borg: ) does a little better... |

Is Danish expensive to get over there? I've seen a few places that sell the imitation print. Flecktarn.co.uk seems to be the only ones who sell the uniforms, but they're something like ninty pounds a piece.
The Swedish camo I supposedly ordered from Hong Kong came to less than that, and it's genuine... Supposedly. |

The only problem with photoshopping patterns into a pic is that they don't show lighting and environmental effects.
ie. You could have CADPAT in thick lush green grass...and be hunched over, showing alot of shadow...

Well, to get original danish stuff is almost impossible, even over here in Europe. But there are some dealers that have good looking replicas on that danish fleck. Although the quality doesn't match the standard of military products.
A Battledress Danish-Fleck in US BDU-cut would be available for about 40-50 Euros. (you may see here: http://www.ranger-onlineshop.de and search for "dansktarn" to get some stuff with that danish pattern.) Here some images of that danish pattern I found on the net... |
