You may have bumped slightly early; the system counts the delay between bumps in minutes (7 full days' worth).

It sounds like you weren't actually doing an edit. Are you certain you didn't hit "Quote", rather than "Edit"? There is a difference, and you are allowed to make edits to existing posts at any time.

If I get him right, he wanted to edit his post then bump it, because the last bump was more than a week old. However, editing did lock his right to bump his thread, while at the same time keeping the thread not bumped.

Am I right?

I just read through it again, and it sounds like he wanted to edit his post, then bump it, but was prevented from bumping, because it was still within 1 week.

So, in the end, it sounds like the system was working exactly as it should.

When we did allow early bumping, you have no idea how many guys abused this. They would make bumps every 4 hours to add the smallest little details, with the excuse that the updates were deemed important and necessary.

Illusion you are correct except about bumping before my 1 week wait. I was 1 day overdue on bumping and should have been able to bump.

I'll try again after my next bump due date to make sure I am indeed past the 7 day time limit.

Are you absolutely POSITIVE that you were in to your 8th day since your last post?

You might be surprised at how many people are actually able to work out a FULL 7 days from their last post.

ie, if you made your last post at 10:51am on April 23rd, you CANNOT make another post until a full 8 days after that.

That means, that you CANNOT make a bump at 4:22am, 6:43am, 8:18am, or even 10:50am.

Until 10:51am hits, it's NOT a full 7 days passed and you are in to the 8th day.

And... looking at your sales thread, that's exactly what happened. You were 10 hours too early, my friend. There is nothing wrong with the system, it's working exactly as designed. Case closed.

Would be nice if people were honest and actually put their correct locations so that a regional filter might actually work. But alas it is a lot of work for something that people do not always like to be truthful about so it's not going to,happen.
