Filling sand in the medium-large replica plate will yield equivalent weight as ESAPI in size X-Large to XX-Large. Just something to be beware of.
I empty my plate ever since I switch to real IOTV (it weights 12lbs already)

Has anyone been able to get the pantac medium plates up around the 8-10 lbs mark. (each). This is for fitness training, so as close to real is best

Well I think it's time I invested in sapi plates and fill them with plaster... Even if they are a bit heavier than spec it just means better fitness training during a game for me! Now I just need to find a soft armor vest to carry them in...

I've used real and training in my CIRAS, stopped using the real ones in case I break them, somehow lost my training plates when I moved.

Lol nah it's more for a look at that point. I run an RRV as I find plate carriers two cumbersome for the way I set up my load out. Plus when I do harder runs in the summer I don't want to have to put on my entire rig and run down the street with it. At least with the soft armor vest with plates in them I can put a tshirts over it and head out.

I dunno maybe I have this all backwards lol

Just got my first plate in the mail today. Ill probably game it a few times before I decide to fill it. I'll likely use some oilfieild grade cement, seeing as how I have unlimited access to it. Plaster is not as heavy, atleast not the stuff I have

Yea under an RRV I don't think it really matters what's in the armor carrier .. Maybe I'll get a rear panel for my RRV and go from there
