yeah you are right about that, I got mine about a month ago and the stock (m130)spring was included in the box. I guess I just assumed that all the 56's would have started in Canada the same as mine. I heard of people owning 56's shooting at 500+fps I just thought they were upgraded after purchase.

Also highly recommend against 500+ fps.

If you have no intentions of gaming it there's nothing wrong with running it at 500+ FPS, these guns are built to be able to take it...

Things will wear out faster and you'll be REQUIRED to use heavier weight BB's

Real Sword AEGS are great but the do have some QC problems.

I know one guy that has a 56-2 and the Real Sword Mid Cap Mags won't work while the Real Sword high caps work fine.

My T56 can take Mag waffle mags while my 56-1 cannot take them.

Real Sword M4 mags are horrible. Mine fell apart during it's first game. (I have a Type 97B)

I concur.

500+ FPS is fine for target shooting.

Shooting at friends and gamers?

Nope.

Thats weird I've only ever heard great things about them, I know that they have been repeatedly called "one of the best AK variants on the market" I had a slight issues with one of my mags, but I just filed down the catch on the mag a little and now it works flawlessly. In any case I've gotten off topic, you can use almost any spring in this AEG, they are solid and Amos is right, you'll need heavier bb's at least .25 and it will wear out faster.

Why is not recommended?
Does it over stress the gun?
Whats most optimum spring to balance it out?
I have no intention of gaming it, just shooting it in my barn when I'm bored

For barn shooting, throw a Prometheus MS120 spring in there, it'll give you 390-402 FPS

Use some .28 or high weight BB's and it'll be a pretty good gun.

If you want more accuracy out of it, I'd suggest upgrading to a Guarder Clear or Firefly hop-up rubber with a Prometheus AK length 6.03 Tightbore barrel.

I don't care what anyone says.. Stock realsword barrels may be "tight" but their barrel window is GARBAGE (that effects how evenly your hop is applied)

500+fps is fine for target shooting / plinking.

You'll just wear out the parts faster with a M150 spring installed.

Gaming is obviously another story.

That's all.

Amos really knows his shit about Real Sword 56's. He's the guy to offer upgrade part recommendations.

Why is not recommended? - if you ever want to shoot it at people <- (games) you'll need to either switch the spring out or use another AEG. But you don't plan on it so really you're all good.

Does it over stress the gun? - not over stress but it will be putting more stress on everything than what the m90 spring would be. (wear and tear of gears and motor will happen faster)
Whats most optimum spring to balance it out? - I'd say keeping it around 400 fps (m120 - m130 spring) this is of course my opinion from what I understand of these guns. Amos will know better than me though.

There any other guys out there who work on 'em?
If you live in Vancouver, why ship your gun to winnipeg to get it to a gundoc when you can get it done locally? The ones that I know of that are reputable gundocs are DamageInc, Kampfer, and Optix. I have met all of them and they are great guys, with even better work. I'd recommend any of them.

Here are some links for them.

Kampfer: http://www.3quip.com/

Optix: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/member.php?u=5099

Damageinc: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/member.php?u=6766

They are listed in no real order. IF you are interested in local gundoc services and saving yourself time and money...PM one of them

My entire team runs;

Prometheus MS120 Spring
ARS Sorbo'd POM Piston head
ARS Sorbothane Pad
Prometheus V3 Spring guide
Guarder Clear hop-up rubber
Shredder's concave Spacer
Trigger Master MK3.8

Aaaaaaaand since everyone's broke from all the upgrades, guns and mags.. they're slowly starting to get Prometheus tightbores

Edit:

The reason why one would want to ship a realsword gun all the way to Winnipeg for ME to work on it would simply be experience, Realsword guns are not like every other V3 AK, there's some minor differences that need special attention paid to them (External ARL leaver when wiring, Dissasembly of the front-end, etc) To date I've successfully worked on 11 realsword guns, 4X Type 56-1, 5X Type 56, 1 SVD, 1 Type 97B.

If needed I could get a post from every single person that has had their realsword upgraded by me

And I'm jumping the gun. I've had work done. Performs awesome.

Stock the gun is great. After Amos touched it, amazing!

Went to a game this past weekend with people we don't normally play with. They must not have gone up against upgraded RS's before on mass...Lets just say it was almost like cheating.

You want a sexy RS, I highly recommend getting the work done, you won't regret it!
