Skipping shots, Smelly motor
Hey, so i dismantled my AK47 Spetsnaz TM clone and i reconstructed it the same way i disassembled it, and now when i pull the trigger it sometimes doesn't work and faults after about a second of having it on full-auto. i can then sorta smell the smell of something either;
a. overheating b. burning I'm taking it apart as we speak and the smell originates from the motor. i also saw a couple of flashes in the open holes on the gun. thanks for your help |

Shot (or soon to be) motor.
Welcome to Crossman country. You'll need to replace it. |

You've got an extremely cheap gun with a plastic gearbox... There's not much you can do to save it short of replacing everything.

Double check to make sure all your contacts are doing what they should be doing, all wire connections are solid and that your motor has all its teeth. If your gun is under warranty I would suggest getting a refund instead of an exchange. If you meet the requirements for age verifacation I would recommend that you seek out an age verifier and once its all said and done you can take your refunded money and put it towards something on the ASC classifieds or maybe even look into buying new from any of the ASC retailers.

There's a really good way to fix any problem a Crosman has.. I can't remember the exact steps but I do know you'll need a rock. You can find the guide somewhere on ASC.

You don't have a TM clone. It has a plastic gearbox.

Yes, it's build similiar in the way that it could fire BBs out of the barrel but the rest are not even close to similiar.

no, ugh, its built like a TM but with cheaper parts.
for example, crosman is decent enough to make it so it can be dissasembled usign the mechbox tutorial on the standard AK |

From what I understand it uses a V3-style gearbox, and is assembled like a Marui (or other manufacturer of the same design) AK. It's just all crappy plastic. His initial problem is already solved so this thread should be left alone now. Clean & lock?
