Personally I think the CF armour is retarded. It's designed so you can wear our useless POS tac vest overtop. Why can't they just use something USEFUL and MODULAR off the shelf that already has been proven, like CIRAS, etc?

Probably because they are the cheapest thing to make that would be effective. It seems every contract in the CF is given to the lowest bidder.

Very nice... only thing missing on that vest from the Issued one is the Neck and shoulder protection...

He was talking about the vest UNDER the MoFCR...
Also to answer your question about the CIRAS.... allot of times you want to be able to ditch your tac vest or body armour and still carry the other...
whereas with the ciras you can't ditch anything... cuz it's all one.

Crunchmeister.. if you even bothered to watch the vid you'd notice the repro body armour under the MOFoCR..


An yea the modular vest you can attach pouches to is good; but also not suited to everyone. Since sometimes you only need to wear the body armour an not LBE, etc. But having MOLLE body armour is good since you can add on the pouches directly onto it if you can(ie not in a job/role that requires the PPE but not LBE); an for those that need/prefer to have the LBE/pouches seperate from the vest they can just wear their own rig over top of the armour.

Yeah... except the need for real deal for airsoft use is pointless... it's not like tacvest and such where it has more use than for protection... even then the body armour for me would be more for the look

funny thing is that my vest actually saved me from a nastly little jugular shot. but mine only cost 200, it doesnt have the body soft panels, just foam. the neck and shoulders have armor tho.

Yeah foam is all you need... same as Kevlar helmets... you only need plastic ones...

you can always buy these add ons for the Ciras Vest not sure if they will work on a replica but they work on eagle Ciras Vest..

There are replica PANTAC/PHANTOM (if I remember well) versions on Redwolf. The price is something like 52$ for the set, or along those lines for the collar, groin and deltoid set.

The whole point (for me anyways) of getting CF repro body armour is to have an authentic CF look as well as being able to use my rig without having to wear the body armour...
