Heck for a $1000, pick up a CA FMU aeg and slap a slightly more powerful spring in there and you should be fine.Heck ever leave it stock and your good. Spend the rest on mags and a spare batt and your good to go, with some change left over too probly.

I had this gun-I used a 8.4 3600maH batt and it lasted all day. I had a systema tightbore and the range + accuracy were great. Oh, it was shooting at 392 fps from thew factory with the tightbore.

I have a JG M4A1 same as Echo without the QC
it shoots 383 out of the box aprox. 750 RPM
with a 8.4 1100Mah mini lasts all day 1000 rounds plus
a 9.6 will increse ROF
if i wer you id wait till it breaks before you upgrade
outher than durrabillity and ROF you cant do much and still play with it

Have you considered leaving in the stock spring for awhile? By the sounds of it, the AEG you are looking at would be on par already with most full auto AEGs other players will be running, and quite a bit better than a stock TM.

Alot of the sport isn't about who has the harder shooting rifle/pistol/shotty, it's who can out manuever who, who can sneak about without being seen etc. Tactics will win 9/10 at the end of the day.

But at the very least, as the fellows above have said, you'll be wanting a set of new bushings and a reshimming/regreasing job in the mechbox.

Good luck with your purchase.

im really really starting to think THIS is the better idea!!!! in total the echo 1 comes up to approx 800 with the upgrades while the following only needs like a spring (20-50 bucks?) and they are just as good if not better than a modded echo 1 from what ive been reading. After hours and hours of reading (literally) reviews and getting opinions i think maybe its just better to get either of these:
http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=358
or
http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=146

From what i hear only simple mods are needed (eg under 100 dollars?). Does my new light seem to be a good idea fellow airsofters? In total + a battery would make me a ready to go upgraded better than echo1m4a1 AEG that is a little under 800 bucks compared to the 700 echo 1.

unless convinced otherwise by somebody, this SEEMS to be the most cost effective solution so far for my new AEG that would also probably last longer with less mods than the Echo 1 M4A1

Thanks!
Mike

Id only pay 800 for an echo is it was 800 chinese yuan...which changes over to about 112 canadian.

Or maybe Id pay 800 costa rica colones, which changes over to about...$1.64

Well whatever choice is made just remeber.
TM: decent, good internals
CA: usually full metal body
JG: They call them knock offs /clone for a reason but still viable aegs
Systema: you pay for what you get.
