It might help if I knew what a normal RPK front looked like off the top of my head....

Google it. Longer barrel, bipod, different set of wood, stronger receiver, different rear sight. Usually a drum magazine.

that is a bit strange. Albeit, I imagine a slight bit of an improvement over the Guarder-insert-and-screw barrel extender RPK forend.

On the other hand the finish looks mighty dodgy.

I may be off, but I think that this RPK barrel isn't that much longer than the standard AK-47 length barrel. Could just be me though. Either way, I'm wondering if anyone's used this before and anyone's comments on whether or not they think this could get through customs. (Please don't flame me)

Shouldn't be a problem coming through Customs...but there's always that guard that paid a dollar for a penny whore and is in a sour mood.

Standard AK barrel length is 455mm. Standard RPK barrel length is 590. If you want to, take a look at Guarder's RPK fore-end. That's what attaches onto the end of a typical AK and extends it.

I know that there is a drastic difference in barrel length between an AK and an RPK, I'm saying that I don't think that the specific barrel that I gave the link to is any longer then the standard AK-47
