Need help with installing a new spring!!!
I just took out the stock TM spring and it looks like this(the end part is bent to fit the metal part)
But the PDI 130% spring(the spring above) isn't bent like that at the end, so do I have to bend it myself? |

No.
Install it so the new spring's end (the one with the closer spaced coils) is at the rear, aka, the spring guide end. Just make sure you snug the piston head down well on the block (inner piston part) before installing it. I hope that's not a PDI spring!!! |

so I just keep the metal part and put the PDI spring in like as it is?

Keep the metal part and screw the piston head back in to that metal part through the piston body.
Mind measuring that PDI spring before you install it, I'm curious and can predict your future with it! Lol, asking because I have had a couple PDI 150% springs that were brownish in colour that measured 6 3/8" long, and put out what the 150% is supposed to, ~350fps. And have tried to install a half dozen PDI 150% springs that were anywhere from 6 3/4" long to 7" long with thick black wire, and they are either impossible to install or once installed, put out well over 420fps with 0.20g BBs. Might put you around 380-390fps with that length, hard to say but form experience with PDI 150% springs that were thick wire, shiny black and longer than the 6 3/8" length.................
Let me know how hard it is to compress when putting the mechbox halves together. That'll say a lot! Not as important for some TM AEGs, but if it's a TM AEG with a V2 mechbox, expect it to bust the mechbox within the first couple thousand rounds if it's over 350fps. My real PDI 150% spring (which chronied at 350-352fps in my MP5 busted my mechbox within the time frame of two winter months shooting in the basement, zero games............if it's a shitty recent spring they made.............. sooner for you.) |

Metal bushings are necessary, but have nothing to do with the front end of the mechbox being safer.

k thx for the spring thing, that worked...
But... I don't know what happened, when I pulled the trigger after putting everything in place, the fuse just blew up.... ='( I really don't know what caused it to blow up |

And since I just blew one up. I need to buy another one.
Where can I get another one? And what kind of spec am I looking for here? Canadian Tire? |

Stalker, you mis-read his post. He has a 130% spring, not 150% spring.

Swap it to a different spring. The other thing that could have caused the fuse to blow is improper shimming. If you shimmed it too tight, the gears will bind and if you keep pulling the trigger, the motor will draw more and more current to keep trying to crank the spring - until the fuse pops. Canadian Tire. Bring yours in so you get the right size. A properly upgraded gearbox can handle 15A fuses. I still use a 15A fuse in all my 425fps guns. You can still safely go up higher, but if you have to do that, there is an inefficiency in your system. The highest you should go is 30A, but the lower is better. Most people don't go above 25A in their upgraded guns. If you find your fuse pops at a certain level, it gives you an indication of any issues in your circuit.

I know he has a 130% spring, I just used my experience with 150% springs (which it seems everyone wants to buy, no idea why) and pointed out issues he most likely will face with the 130% since PDI has gone to poop over the past few years (even found my 300% spring was a royal bastard and damn near busted my M24, even after cutting off a half dozen coils!!)
Fuse you want is the 1 1/4" size, CT has them, might have to buy a variety pack just to get a 20A or 25A though. |

Since I dont have a chrono, I just did the "Pop can" chrono thing that u can find at Redwolf. The bullet went through both sides no problem, so according to the website, the velocity should be somewhere between 350FPS - 420FPS(Did not penetrate the bottom) But then, I did put in a KM TN 407mm 6.04mm barrel too. |
