US Airsoft Events/Fields

Has anyone ever made the effort to travel to US airsoft events? The obvious import/export restrictions on airsoft guns aside, I guess you could theoretically bring all your other gear and then either rent, borrow or purchase restricted gear there if you had cash to burn.

I'm new to airsoft so I don't see this as something I'd want to do anytime soon, but I can't help but wonder if this is even remotely possible, or if there are people among us who have done this. From watching youtube videos there are some pretty sweet fields that our neighbours to the south enjoy. I guess I'm just curious if this is something anyone has attempted?

I've been watching some of the Evike NSRT videos, and in one of them they mentioned they were playing at an event with Canadians.

Canadians go down to games in the states all the time, with their own guns. there are legal ways to do it.

Did you search before creating this thread? This question has been answered a few times, with the correct paperwork yes you can transport gear to games in the US.

All I could find was threads about transporting within Canada, and others about importing in general.
Nothing about the actual procedures.

I'm sure it has been answered directly, I can't remember the exact form(s) required but calling CBSA should net you the information directly from the people who need it.

I'll do some research.

But if there's anyone who's actually done it, or knows of someone who has, I'd appreciate hearing about their experience.

There's a form you can get (Y-38 maybe), that logs your gun before you leave the country. As long as the gun is unaltered you can bring it back in. Ask CBSA when you're heading down.

When I went down to new york for OP pine plains, I had to get a y-38 form from the CBSA and I had papers from a gunsmith verifying the velocity of my aeg. The CBSA will put a sticker on your gun with a number so you can write it down on your Y38 if you don't have a serial number on it.

Thanks, I'll assume that thread has all the information in it.

Still waiting for my age verification to be approved before I can view it. Maybe that information should be put into a non-AV thread for non-forum members to reference?

Y 38

Get your airsofts weapons Y 38 at your nearest CSBA Office

Just make sure they are firing at the legal FPS which I believe is 366 FPS, my guns that I take to USA are all Y 38 and fire between 380FPS to 400PPS
