Springfield M1A Socom II
Has anyone done it to a WE M14?
Also for the m14 newbie, what internals are needed to have a good running GBBR? |

are you talking about this?:
![]() Good luck. The rail kit for airsoft is a 1 piece floating sleeve and the rail on the top is not monolithic all the way back to the rear sight. The kit is also only made for AEGs, so to get it to fit to a WE, you need custom work. There was only ever 1 rear rail piece that mated up to the airsoft version of the rail, and laylax hasn't made it for years. I've tried to find one but no luck. The real steel rail is a 2piece system, and probably would not fit an airsoft rifle, even for the WE, and you'd be looking at serious cash as the quadrail is an integral part of the m1a... someone would have had to bought one and changed it out along with the stock, and at that point, they could've started with another version that didn't cost as much. |

I did see a custom done one on some Chinese website. But the guy who did it had experience with CNC and did it. Otherwise I was wondering if the Vltor CASV for M1A would fit on the WE?

that would be ridiculously front heavy, as the WE m14 is already a hefty gun adding more weight to the front like that (even on a socom varient) seems wasteful unless you are adopting the full on DMR role.
internals most people will run a NPAS ![]() http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2047 also here is the socom kit from RAtech ![]() http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ra-tech-s...e-m14-gbb.html the small front rail ![]() http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2055 Most Real steel parts will fit on GBBR with little to no modification now that being said I have yet to see the rail in question up for sale separately from the rifle anywhere |

And you're telling me all those lists of WE M14 parts the RA-Tech has isn't really a necessity to have it run well? |

the only part I strongly recommend is the NPAS system as it allows you to control the FPS, past that just replace whatever breaks eventually.

Yes yes of course. I have an NPAS on my 416 so GBBRs aren't too new to me... But parts like tappets, and such I'm not too familiar with
