AR selector switch nub (ejection port side)

Does anyone know what the selector switch indicator nub on the ejection port side of the AR platform is called? Is there a place where just that part can be purchased? Thanks!

You mean the fake hole cover for the fire selector lever?

No idea, but you probably will find it listed under selector lever or safety lever...

You can always get a dummy ambi... or install a real ambi (it takes hours of dremell a a steady hand)

who makes an ambidextrous selector for M4s? been looking for a set for my VFC 416.
i have both a Mill and dremel so it shouldn't be too hard for me to get it working.

King Arms and VFC both sell the parts.

You need an extra selector lever and the transfer gears.
That is a shaft with flat spots on both ends, gears matching the flats, two very thin gears that will fit in a special plate that fits on the selector (instead of the regular flat roun thing) and either the KA or VFC selector plate. I made one instead with thin sheet metal because I didn't like the ones on the market.

You basically need to thin the right side of the receiver to clear the extra hardware. Most mechbox already have the cutout for the transfer gears (that recessed hole right above trigger that apparently is useless...)

Some "ambi" kits are just for show...the right side one doesn't do anything. Major fake-gey.

KosMos spoke of the others. You might want to see if a VFC dealer can get the bits from VFC...some of their M4's are setup like that (very SCAR-ish type gear system)

The part is sometimes refered to as the selector cover. airsoftparts.ca might have one. Body kits (Huang sells Dboys/other full body kits) will have them.

I've been missing the odd one here and there...I just machine them.
