Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

If you're playing in a CQB area where you're actually concerned about the difference in length between an MP5 and an M4 CQBR, the extra barrel length of the P90 isn't going to count for anything lol
IMO both are good guns, I don't know why you wouldnt want an M4 CQBR, but I would side with the MP5 simply because of the mags. They're easier to handle and you can carry a LOT of MP5 mags. |

from the two choices. MP5 over the P90 just because of the availability of aftermarket parts available, they have low--med-high price ranges to fit your wallet. if you go for the collapsible stock version (a5) you will have a smaller profile overall.
The MP5 doesn't feel like holding onto a plastic box compared to the P90. though the design of the P90 is comfortable. the P90 mag design alone are enough to deter me from purchasing or using one for cqb MP5 mags are easily accommodated but id probably get a nice low profile chest rig with dedicated mp5 mags or open top shingles for quick reload If you had a choice with what is new out there. I put my money on the KAC PDW AEG if you can get your hands on one. but it is a tad heavier than a full metal MP5. Or maybe wait for the release of the Airsoft GI - Magpul PTS at SHOT Show 2011 - YouTube

Its simple Mp5 has many more accessories and parts to make it your own. Mags feed better. You can fit them in M4 pouches, P90 try and find pouches. Try to quickly change a P90 mag in a firefight...good luck.
About the only thing P90 has going for it is that a retard could disassemble it.

I love the look of the p90, it will be the third gun I get if cottoni ever answers his PMs about the pistol I want... otherwise it will be number 2 shortly.
Magazine storage is an issue.. one of the things you don't see in stargate lol.. stuffing them into your vest is not really a great way of carrying them. You'll need a drop leg rig and p90 specific mag pouches to hold them, and they're a bit of a pain in the ass cause they are ridiculously tight to the mags. The other weapon you aren't considering for cqb, which I think you should cause it looks awesome, is the HK UMP... G&G makes it, they call it the UMG. The mags use the same pouches (or similar length) to the p90 mags though. As for rareness... I've actually seen more p90s than I have mp5s at the games I've been at. Both mp5 and p90 are very nice looking guns.. HK knows how to make sexy looking hardware. |

I have a MP5, a UMP, and a REALLY cheap p90 I bought for the stuff it came with, and no the UMP mags WILL NOT fit into MP5 pouches, or even M4 pouches. But the P90 and UMP mags will fit in the same pouch.

Well, as much as love the P90, I think it's size and ergonomics are great! BTW, GROM, I,m a P90 lover :P but I know what you mean, the MP5 is more "traditional"! I agree that the mags are an issue, and fitting them on a vest can be hard, but it can be overcome! I'm going for the MP5 for now, but in the end, I'll probably be getting a P90 !
BTW, in a real life/death CQB gunfight, I'd take the P90 with it's round over any MP5! For having actually fired the real thing and the MP5 as well (don't ask me how and to who I brought them ) , the recoil, stopping power and the magazine capacity (no MP5 hicaps in real life, so it's a 32 rounds max for the mp5 compared to a 50 rounder for the P90) would make me use the P90 over the MP5! Thanks guys!

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I once had a Star UMP. Really a great CQB weapon. And it's sturdier than an MP5. It has a V3 Mechbox, and comes with rails on all sides of the front, as well as a folding rear stock. Having used all three, I strongly suggest the UMP.

Well, you'll laugh guys! I actually bought BOTH ! I love the MP5 for the parts and upgrades, but the P90 for the "Stargate look" ! But thanks for the advices, I was going for the MP5 and bought it! But I found this old Echo1 P90 body I once bought from the States and deceided to build my P90, as the first gun I'd build all by myself!
Thanks for the advices guys! PAD, out!

I find the ca mp5k to be tiny, and accurate. But I also find the tm p90 to be more comfortable and lighter. Mp5k is great for taking corners and one-handing like a pistol. (good for crawling around) But the p90 is so comfy and light it feels like an extension of your arm.
Both are great.
