Good news for everyone with a G&P M249!!!
I'm working on a buddy of mine's STAR MK46, and I discovered their MK46 (and only their MK46) uses the same feed as the G&P 249's
That's directly up from the box mag instead of going through the mag well. And the battery wires travel through the fake ammo belt. What does this mean? It means 100 round (1550 round) pouches that don't require (much) modification to be used on a G&P M249!! Horray for star! I highly recommend either running the feed off the battery, or a 9v. And I'm planning to wire an on/off switch on mine, the annoying part is that the bit that locks the box mag onto the gun, is also the pressure switch to activate the mechanism. And it's a pressure sensitive feed, so it'll pour out the whole box in your pouch lol FYI ares=star, so the ARES MK46 box mag is the same thing http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ares-1550...46-aeg-wc.html oh, and incidentally this also means you can put a full size G&P 200rnd box on a STAR MK46...
