Madbull CO2 filler
Hi,
Quick question: Can you use the Madbull CO2 filler to fill GBB Propane like magasine? (I m thing about using CO2 in a M500 shotgun)? Would you need another valve? Thanks, Bong

If it follows the same logic than the gas and/or CO2 grenades, filling a Propane mag with CO2 will probably work at least for a short while, but the striker / hammer mechanism of the gun will most likely not be strong enough to depress the valve on the magazine.
We've tested the POM grenades with CO2 ; they filled and held the CO2 (no leaks), but the valve was so hard to depress that it was impossible to release it with the launcher's trigger, we had to take the grenade out of the launcher and depress the valve by hand using both thumbs.

it will work but at lower/safer PSI like that of propane, you won't get very many shots off. fill at too high a PSI and you'll likely blow your seals.

Oh, yeah, like Coachster said, you can always regulate the PSI of the CO2 to match the pressure of the Propane, however you won't get half the shots with CO2 that you would with propane for the simple reason that Propane puts liquid gas in your mag what is going to evaporate as you shoot to maintain a stable pressure, with CO2, there's no liquid phase, only gas, so the pressure will fall down with each & every shot. That's why CO2 guns are either single shot, or use a high pressure tank with a regulator for a constant supply of lower pressure gas.
In fact, the only advantage I would see to use CO2 in a propane gun would be to jack up the pressure to get extra FPS, even if that means fewer shots, and most likely a gun (most probably a mag) failure within a short time span.

Thanks for the input,
Why are they making GBB with CO2 mags (like the KJ-Work) that use 12 gram cartridge, without any regulator??

Some may even have internal regulators to lower the pressure for all I know. |

except the kjw hicapa wich is the same gun only with a co2 mag so they break easy.

What about WE GBBR? I know they have two different mag, but can I fill the propant one with CO2?

the CO2 in the 12g cartrage is in liquid form, it's at 480PSI.. using CO2 in a propane rated mag will either blow out your seals or make a nice fragmentation granade.
the CO2 GBBR's like the WE M4 do not use an internal regulator. the FPS is controlled by adjusting the freefloat/nozzle valve opening size. and the timing of when the main mag valve opens and closes when the gun cycles. please watch where you get your info from. the last thing anyone wants is someone loosing fingers/hands for taking advice from poeple who know nothing but think they have something to contribute.
