What are your antifogging precautions?
What's happenin,
I just got Arena Flakjak goggles and they look pretty safe. I've shot a couple of BB's at pretty close range (both on the middle and extremities of the lens) and it looks alright. My main issue is that with the perspiration and the heat, the goggles fog up ridiculously fast -- especially when I wear a helmet. During my service, I learned a couple of tricks to counter this, including using special antifog liquid or just straight up deodorant gel on the lens, but that only half-works. I've heard of actual fans in the goggles but that sounds pretty intense, though I'm sure it works like a charm. I want to be able to wear my balaclava and helmet with my goggles. I've tried reducing the tightness of the goggles but at this point they just slip right off and that's counter-productive. What is your fix for the fog up problems? |

not at all the wiring is hot-glued at the top of the goggles so they are out of your face and the fans are these 17mm 5v fans : http://cgi.ebay.ca/Micro-Fan-17x17x1...3%3A1|294%3A50
you can even order the battery case/switch from the same guy, i bought mine locally and installed a 3.5 mm jack for easy disconnect.

//Edit. Will my contact lenses dry up with fans? |

hit me up on pm if you need more info!
![]() the fans are mounted to "draw" air in the goggles so the airflow is very gentle... i dont think it would be enough to dry contacts, and youre not obligated to run 2 fans i did 2 fans just because i build everything overkill

I just saw your post in the Mirabel topic... it looks good! I checked out those Striker goggles, but at 165$ a piece, I'm thinking a more improvised approach! ;D
What do I need to fix it up? do I just jam them into my goggles? |

i cutted 2 square holes SLIGHTLY smaller than the fans, the goggles frame is a kind of rubber so i just jammed them in the holes

Soap works okay but be aware that because it's basic, over time, it will eat away at the protective coating many goggles already have. It's fine to use once in a while in games but wash it off as soon as you can. It can also cause problems with clarity if it's on too thick.
Check out the fog tech at http://www.airsoftparts.ca I used a coat on my ESS Striker goggles in nearly 30 degree heat for hours on Saturday with no issues. No anti-fog is flawless and if it gets REALLY hot, fans are the best solution.

I'll definitely look into fans, that looks like a good permanent solution!

I understand that Cat Crap is a great, cheap, safe solution to fogging. Before everyone starts looking at me funny, that's a brand name.
