i was just told that the linton know comes in 2 diffrent Mhz one is from 400 -420 and the other is from 450- 470 can any one tell me what the diffrence is and what one is compatable with gmrs and frs?

Linton 6288 is GMRS and FRS compatible. I have one and it is fully programmable and have used it on both.......
